About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet.

About the team

The Global Partnerships team develops and manages the strategic relationships that enable Stripe’s payments, financial-services, and geographic-expansion ambitions. We work with local payment methods, financial institutions, card networks, banks, and other ecosystem partners to build the infrastructure, commercial models, and market access Stripe needs to serve users globally.

What you’ll do

We are hiring a Global Partnerships Lead based in Singapore to own Stripe’s Global Partnerships strategy and execution across Greater China, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

As the regional Global Partnerships Lead, you will own Stripe’s most important in-market relationships across local payment methods, financial partners, card networks, banks, and expansion partners. You will set the partnership strategy for the region; identify, prioritize, and develop new opportunities; lead complex negotiations; and ensure partnerships deliver durable commercial, product, and expansion outcomes for Stripe and our users.

This is a leadership role at the intersection of product strategy, market expansion, and commercial execution. You will serve as Stripe’s senior partnership representative for the region, build trusted executive relationships with ecosystem partners, and lead alignment across Product, Engineering, Go-to-Market, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Treasury, and Operations.

Responsibilities
  • Act as Stripe’s Global Partnerships Lead for Greater China, Hong Kong, and Singapore, with end-to-end accountability for the regional partnership portfolio.
  • Set and execute the regional strategy across local payment methods, financial partners, card networks, banks, and expansion partners.
  • Lead Stripe’s senior external relationships in the region, building alignment and representing Stripe’s strategic priorities with partners.
  • Own partnership opportunities from market assessment and strategy through negotiation, contracting, onboarding, launch, governance, and performance management.
  • Lead regional expansion-partnership strategy and execution, coordinating the partnerships required to establish, operate, and scale Stripe in-market.
  • Translate market intelligence, partner priorities, and ecosystem developments into clear recommendations for Stripe’s product and business strategy.
  • Drive cross-functional decision-making on commercial, product, operational, regulatory, and technical dependencies related to regional partnerships.
  • Establish and manage partner-performance metrics, including commercial outcomes, product adoption, operational health, and strategic progress.
  • Anticipate and manage partnership risks, escalations, and trade-offs, ensuring sustained executive alignment internally and externally.
Who you are

We are looking for a commercially rigorous, strategically minded partnerships leader who is deeply familiar with the payments ecosystem in Greater China, Hong Kong, and Singapore. You are comfortable navigating complex stakeholder environments, structuring ambiguous opportunities, and independently driving high-impact outcomes.

Minimum requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, corporate development, strategy, financial services, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in payments, fintech, ecommerce, banking, card networks, local payment methods, or adjacent financial-services sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, strategic commercial negotiations with senior external stakeholders.
  • Deep knowledge of the payments and financial-partnership landscape in Greater China, Hong Kong, and/or Singapore, including relevant market dynamics and business models.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and English executive communication skills and business-level Mandarin proficiency, written and spoken as this role would require working closely with our users and partners in the Greater China region.
  • Strong ability to develop a clear point of view amid ambiguity, influence without authority, and drive decisions across complex internal and external stakeholder groups.
  • Experience working closely with product and engineering organizations on partnerships with meaningful technical, operational, and regulatory dependencies.
  • Ability to operate autonomously while balancing multiple high-priority initiatives and long-term strategic relationships.
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience owning a regional or multi-market portfolio of payments or financial-infrastructure partnerships.
  • Experience supporting market-entry, expansion, licensing, or ecosystem-development initiatives.
  • Existing senior relationships across banks, networks, payment-method providers, fintechs, or other relevant ecosystem partners in the region.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, global technology company with cross-functional product, commercial, and regulatory stakeholders.
