Job Purpose:

BTIG seeks a talented and ambitious candidate to join the APAC Finance team. In this role, the ideal candidate will be involved in a leading position to oversee end to end Finance processes across APAC with a focus on Hong Kong and Singapore, as well as identifying and implementing best practices and processes from their experience with previous broker dealers.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of escalation for Hong Kong and Singapore in the finance team, providing oversight and guidance to junior team members.
  • Manage revenue processes across APAC, including the booking of clearing broker revenue and booking/reconciliation of broker rebates.
  • Manage the invoicing/collection/reporting of AR including engagement with clients and brokers.
  • Manage the booking and reconciliation of cash in clearing accounts.
  • Month end consolidation entries including equity pick up and eliminations.
  • Support the calculation of transfer pricing and management fees.
  • Other general month end closing and reporting and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare/review regulatory reporting across HK and SG.
  • Coordination of APAC audits and Financial Statements.
  • Review of AP payments/wires.
  • Support business activities through engagement with sales, operations, compliance and other functions.
  • Identify and drive process improvement and best practices.
  • Drive and reinforce appropriate controls and documentation.
  • Participate in projects, change initiatives, and other ad hoc activities.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Degree in finance or accountancy, tax qualification, or a related professional qualification such as ACCA or CPA.
  • Proven experience in broker dealers across a range of Finance areas, with a practical understanding of the business (especially on equities trading).
  • Ability to be hands on when necessary, with attention to detail.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Proficiency in an automation tool is a plus.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment.
  • Multi-tasker, with a focus on effective prioritization.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must work collaboratively, with a growth mindset and passion for constant improvement and transformation.
  • Able to work under pressure and in fast-paced environments.
