Job Summary:Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- To protect and optimize the use of CSA Group assets and ensure that Corporate Finance Policies and Procedures and Accounting and Reporting principles are adhered to in the legal entity(ies)/region(s) of responsibility (hereinafter, all duties responsibilities below apply to all entities under the individual’s responsibility).
- Ensures that internal controls and procedures are followed locally. Communicates to Corporate Finance and direct Manager any suspicion of fraud to generate visibility.
- Responsible for maintaining local books in accordance with local statutory accounting principles and for the annual preparation and filing of local statutory financial statements.
- Responsible for coordinating the completion of annual tax filings.
- Responsible for managing the local accounting resources through the month-end accounting activities and closure and ensuring all month-end accounting transactions and activities are complete and accurate.
- Responsible for managing local team through the monthly and annual closure of the financial statements under IFRS for purposes of reporting to Corporate Finance for consolidation purposes.
- Provides monthly financial analysis and responsible for completion of the CSA Group month-end reporting package, submitted to CSA Corporate Finance.
- Actively participates in the annual budgeting process and in providing analysis against budget monthly and in providing input into the forecasting process.
- Works closely with personnel in other Corporate areas, including HR and Payroll.
- Provide ad-hoc support and reporting to local personnel, as required (i.e. Operations, Commercial Teams, HR, etc.)
- Acts as a liaison with Regional and Corporate Finance to help on the implementation of any new initiative, requirement or reporting.
- Participates in local and Global Finance Team meetings regularly.
- Expected to manage, coach and mentor direct reports and to invest in development of team member’s growth at CSA (using the applicable Career Development model provided by HR).
Preferred Education & Experience
- University degree in Finance or Accounting along with the local accounting designation
- Master’s degree is desirable
- Minimum of 7-10 years of Business experience in an accounting and financial environment
- Thorough understanding of Accounting principles and an extensive knowledge of fundamental accounting information systems
- Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated, maturity, and the ability to work independently are required
- Excellent communication and team management skills are required
- Fluency in English (as a second language) required
- Ability to travel occasionally is required
- Must be a team player with collaborative approach
