The Opportunity

The Finance Reporting & Data Visualization Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data visualizations and dashboards, collaborating with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, and ensuring data accuracy and consistency. The role involves creating monthly reports, working with various data sources, developing data models, and optimizing visualization performance. Essential skills include experience with Microsoft Office, PowerBI, other BI tools, programming languages, and cloud platforms, along with the ability to analyze complex data sets and convey insights to non-technical stakeholders.

• Create and manage monthly reports containing data visualizations and dashboards using PowerBI, Excel, OneStream and other tools for Finance and senior leadership.

• Work with various data sources to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data into visualization tools, and where possible, automate the ETL process.

• Develop data models and perform data analysis to support reporting needs.

• Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and provide training on data visualization tools.

• Optimize visualization performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

• Stay updated with the latest data visualization features and best practices.

To be Successful, you'll need:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Experience working with Microsoft Office and PowerBI.

• Experience working with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik). Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, R).

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).

• Proven experience in developing data visualizations and dashboards, preferably in a Finance environment.

• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions). Proficiency in SQL and other data querying languages.
