  • Negotiate and manage contracts with external vendors, as and when required.

  • Coordinate logistics (e.g. catering, equipment, staff scheduling, and transportation) as required.

  • Ensure SOPs, such as Workplace Safety, are strictly followed during all events.

  • Gather feedback and conduct post-event evaluations, analysing successes and identifying areas for improvement to inform future planning.

Budget and Forecast

  • Develop business plans, working to achieve the revenue targets.

  • Promote NEC event spaces to non-university clients to maximise utilisation and revenue potential.

  • Prepare, monitor, and reconcile departmental budget and monthly forecasts.

Client and Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary liaison with internal university stakeholders to understand and prioritise their event needs.

  • Establish and maintain good rapport with clients to encourage repeat business.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Business Administration, hospitality or relevant discipline. Diploma holders with extensive experience may be considered.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar capacity in the hospitality industry.

  • Prior experience managing or overseeing outsourced F&B vendors and operations in an events or hospitality setting will be highly advantageous.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with various departmental colleagues, clients and vendors.

  • Portray a positive attitude towards any challenges met and the drive to excel.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, to build relationships with clients, vendors, and staff, and for collaborating effectively to ensure event success.

  • Good negotiation skills, to secure the best prices and favorable terms with venues, suppliers, and contractors to improve the event's overall value and experience.

We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
