Support ESD architects/engineers on green building certification and sustainability projects. Perform energy analysis, benchmarking, and building performance simulations (energy modelling, CFD, daylighting, solar studies). Contribute to decarbonization and carbon advisory, propose cost-effective performance improvements, assist research and implement best practices, and support project management.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a team of ESD architects/engineers to work on Environmental Sustainable Design (ESD)/ Green Mark /Green Building Index (GBI)/ LEED/ WELL projects
- Support in managing projects related to overall sustainability, decarbonization and carbon advisory
- Assisting in providing high level energy analysis and benchmarking energy consumption against best practices guideline and net zero roadmap for master planning in Singapore and overseas
- Contribute to cost-effective solution to project teams for improving building performance, decarbonization and sustainability
- Participate in research on, review, recommend and implement industry best practices in sustainable building design and system
- Have good understanding of building physics and experience in conducting performance simulations such as energy modelling, CFD, daylighting & glare analysis, solar insolation studies etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in M&E, Architecture, building serves or sustainability related field. Master’s degree in Sustainability will be highly regarded.
- While we welcome candidates with professional ESD experience, this position is designed for entry-level individuals, and prior experience is not mandatory.
- Demonstrate knowledge of common energy analysis/benchmarking, Excel-based energy calculation and energy modeling software, with a specific focus on IESVE or EnergyPlus
- Foundational understanding of building system, particularly in ACMV system and other M&E disciplines
- Experience with modeling support software such as Open Studio and Rhino is a plus
- Project management skills with ability to actively manage and balance task, cost and time
- Team player with the ability to work as a team, willing to learn, contribute ideas and assist team member with tasks/duties, when required
- Highly self-driven and pro-active with a keen interest in exploring innovative solutions
- Proficiency in DesignBuilder would be considered a strong advantage.
