Job Description
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Workplace Technology Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of our workplace technology infrastructure. You will play a crucial part in ensuring a seamless and productive environment for our employees by leveraging cutting-edge solutions and providing exceptional technical support.
ResponsibilitiesSystem Design and Implementation:
Design, deploy, and configure workplace technology solutions, including audio-visual systems, unified communications platforms, collaboration tools, and meeting room technology.
Evaluate new technologies and recommend solutions that enhance employee productivity and experience.
Develop and maintain documentation for all workplace technology systems and procedures.
Support and Maintenance:
Provide expert-level support for all workplace technology related issues, including troubleshooting hardware and software problems.
Perform regular maintenance, upgrades, and patching of systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
Manage and prioritize support tickets, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with users.
Project Management:
Lead or participate in technology projects from inception to completion, including planning, execution, and post-implementation review.
Collaborate with various internal teams and external vendors to deliver successful projects.
User Training and Adoption:
Develop and deliver training sessions for employees on new workplace technologies and best practices.
Promote the adoption of new tools and solutions to maximize their effectiveness.
Vendor Management:
Work with technology vendors to evaluate products, troubleshoot issues, and manage service agreements.
Education: Educational background in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
3+ years of experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on workplace technology.
Proven experience with the design, deployment, and support of AV systems (e.g.,Qsys, Shure, Poly).
Solid understanding of unified communications platforms (e.g. Google Meet and Slack).
Experience with collaboration tools and meeting room technology.
Familiarity with network infrastructure and equipment, including Wi-Fi, LAN.
Experience with ticketing systems e.g Jira and ITIL best practices.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in administering and troubleshooting Windows (Intune) and macOS (Jamf) operating systems.
Knowledge of audio and video conferencing technologies.
Understanding of cloud-based collaboration platforms e.g. Okta
BAU end user support.
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing high-quality service.
Mandarin Speaking - has to read contracts in Chinese + liaise with China counterparts and vendors
Experience in supporting wider APAC markets (greater China, Australia, Japan).
