Role: Engineer - Mobile Core Planning/ Project Planning
Location: Singapore
We are partnering with a leading organisation to hire a 4G/5G Mobile Core Network Engineer to support network planning, deployment, optimisation, and next-generation mobile initiatives.
About the Role

You will be involved in the planning, deployment, and optimisation of 4G/5G mobile core network infrastructure, supporting network expansion, roaming services, and enterprise 5G initiatives. This role offers exposure to cutting-edge mobile technologies, cloud-integrated telecom environments, and large-scale network projects.
Responsibilities

  • Perform capacity planning and dimensioning for 4G/5G Mobile Core network elements integrated with IP and cloud infrastructure

  • Support network expansion, upgrades, integration, and deployment activities

  • Monitor network performance and ensure service reliability and functionality

  • Support roaming-related projects and new mobile commercial service launches

  • Conduct technical feasibility studies, testing, and trials for emerging technologies

  • Support enterprise 4G/5G projects and IMDA 5G initiatives

  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure smooth implementation and operational readiness

Requirements

  • Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field

  • 0–3 years of experience in the telecommunications industry

  • Hands-on knowledge of 4G/5G Mobile Core technologies and associated protocols

  • Familiarity with:

    • MME / AMF

    • SPGW / SMF / UPF

    • SDM, PCRF / PCF

    • IMS, VoWiFi, VoNR, NEF

  • Understanding of:

    • IP networking and routing protocols

    • API communication

    • Network and application security

  • Basic programming/scripting skills

  • Knowledge of application protocols and OTT services is advantageous

  • Willingness to support occasional night deployment activities
