[What the role is]

Engineer (Enabling Technology Collaboratory) / School of Engineering

[What you will be working on]

  • Develop full-stack applications and integrate them with databases, cloud platforms, APIs and AI services.
  • Design and deploy AI-enabled and agentic AI solutions leveraging AI/ML, LLMs, RAG, tool use and autonomous workflows.
  • Integrate applications with devices, sensors, simulation systems and other digital platforms as required.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and propose suitable technical solutions.
  • Contribute to applied research, consultancy projects and proposal development.
  • Conduct PET and CET lessons, specialised courses, workshops and demonstrations.
  • Supervise student projects and internships.
  • Support project delivery, outreach activities and engagement with industry partners.

[What we are looking for]

  • Qualification in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of relevant industry or software development experience.
  • Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C++.
  • Hands-on experience in:
  • o   Full-stack web application development;
  • o   AI, ML, Gen AI and Agentic AI application development;
  • o   Cloud application deployment and integration.
  • Ability to design maintainable software solutions and develop well-documented, reusable code.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience in client engagement, training delivery, student supervision, or technical proposal preparation will be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with LLM APIs, RAG, tool integration, agent orchestration frameworks, or embodied AI will be an added advantage.
