EHS Specialist II

Labcorp is seeking an Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist II to join our team in Singapore.

Job Summary:

The incumbent is responsible in implementing and managing EHS programs across Labcorp operations including, but not limited to, regulatory compliance, laboratory employee health and safety, emergency preparedness and response, hazard control and risk management, environmental management or equivalent fields and sustainability.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain EHS programs covering biosafety, chemical safety, occupational health, ergonomics, radiation safety, and exposure control.
  • Develop, update, and maintain EHS policies, SOPs, compliance documentation, and chemical hygiene plans.
  • Conduct workplace inspections, audits, risk assessments, and compliance evaluations to ensure regulatory adherence and continuous improvement.
  • Lead incident, injury, exposure, and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action tracking.
  • Deliver EHS training, safety briefings, onboarding, refresher programs, and promote a strong safety culture across the site.
  • Support regulatory inspections, agency interactions, environmental reporting, and management of permits and compliance records.
  • Oversee hazardous waste management, chemical storage/disposal, spill prevention, emergency response, and waste minimization initiatives.
  • Coordinate contractor safety programs, permit-to-work activities, fire drills, evacuations, and EHS committee activities.
  • Monitor EHS performance metrics, trends, audit findings, and prepare dashboards and management reports.
  • Collaborate with site leadership, employees, vendors, and EHS teams to support safe operations, environmental compliance, and risk management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant biomedical specialization or technical field.
  • Minimum 4 years of EHS experience preferably working in a laboratory or in research and development environment.
  • In lieu of degree, minimum 8 years of EHS related work experience that includes familiarization with regulatory inspections or other audits, supporting EHS programs, providing training, supporting EHS programs in a laboratory setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certification in Safety, Industrial Hygiene or Environmental Areas.
  • Certificates in Radiology, Biological Safety, Chemical Management and Handling, or Occupational Health.
  • Enrollment in continuing education and development is expected as a condition of employment if minimum education or certifications are not held.
