Role
We are looking for an Editorial Operations Associate who can support news monitoring coverage across our EMEA and Americas products. You'll have the opportunity to be a part of a fast-paced, global organization working with experienced financial journalists, analysts, and lawyers.
The Editorial Operations Associate will primarily be responsible for monitoring the feed of press releases, company announcements, SEC filings, and other public documents. The ideal candidate will have strong news judgment and the ability to understand complex financial and legal topics including private credit, deal origination, leveraged loans, high yield bonds and restructuring.
Responsibilities
- Monitor a wide range of online sources to ensure Octus is the first to unearth information on private credit and deal origination situations across Europe and the US
- Support a team of experienced journalists, financial analysts and lawyers to help shape content
- Conduct outreach to companies to obtain "right to reply" statements, ensuring accuracy and fairness in our reporting
- Manage and monitor internal databases and contribute to project management processes
- Maintain ongoing connections with company investor relations and private equity firms
Requirements
- Excellent written and spoken English; a working knowledge of other European languages is highly advantageous
- Ability to work 8hour shift between the hours of 9:00 am to 8:00 pm GMT to provide cross-region support
- Ability to work accurately at speed and under tight deadlines
- Keen interest in financial news and markets, with a desire to deepen knowledge in private credit and deal origination
- Experience with AI tools, Monday.com, and/or other project management programs a plus
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United Kingdom
