We are seeking a E2E Core Expert to manage and govern our telecom core networks across circuit switched, IMS, packet core, and 5G Core domains. You will also provide war room incident support, ad hoc project support, and oversee lifecycle activities for robust governance frameworks.
Core Responsibilities
1. Circuit Switched Governance (MSC/MGW/HLR/VLR)• Govern maintenance, release activities, and availability of MSC, MGW, HLR, VLR systems.• Define and enforce fault/change/performance governance policies, including MTTR and SLA targets.• Collaborate with RAN, NOC, billing, and interconnect teams.
2. IMS Core Governance• Oversee deployment and operation of IMS elements: P-CSCF, I-CSCF, S-CSCF, HSS, MGCF, BGCF, TAS, MRFC/MRFP, IBCF/AGCF.• Manage commissioning, integration of SIP/Diameter/SS7/H.248.• Handle lifecycle activities: patching, upgrades, decommissioning across IMS platforms.• Ensure proper VoLTE, VoWiFi, RCS call-flow governance; troubleshoot SIP traces in war-room settings.
3. Packet Core Governance (EPC / 5GC)• Enforce governance for EPC and 5GC components: PGW, SGW, MME, PCRF, AAA, HSS, DRA, DNS.• Participate in capacity management and KPI monitoring.• Apply ITIL-based fault, change, and incident governance protocols.
4. 5G Core Governance & Application Support• Govern deployment and performance of 5G Core network functions: AMF, SMF, UPF, NRF, PCF, NSSF, NEF, BSF, SCP, SEPP.• Ensure governance for 5G SA architecture, cloud-native core (VNFs, CNFs, SDN/NFV orchestration) • Validate 5G call flows and application integration (registration, session management, slicing).• Manage compliance and performance of 5G-specific services: network slicing, MEC, edge applications.
5. War Room Incident Support & Troubleshooting• Lead war room operations during critical network events, coordinating incident teams, conducting RCAs.• Perform real-time analysis of signalling and packet logs (Wireshark, protocol analysers, network probes).• Deliver incident updates and root-cause reports, ensure post mortem governance.
6. Governance Framework & Documentation• Develop and maintain policies, SOPs, network diagrams (HLD/LLD), workflows, and audit documentation.• Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal standards (telecom codes, ISO, GDPR, etc.).• Conduct regular audits on SLA compliance, incidents, and performance metrics.
7. Operations & Continuous Improvement• Support SLA and incident ticketing audits.• Propose and implement improvements to reduce MTTR, drive governance maturity.• Mentor teams on core-network governance best practices and lifecycle management
