We are looking for an exceptional technical sales leader to drive Cohesity’s growth across Southeast Asia. As Director of Technical Sales for ASEAN, you will lead a high-performing team of pre-sales engineers across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines — owning the technical go-to-market strategy for one of the world’s fastest-growing technology markets. Critically, you will serve as ASEAN’s representative voice in Cohesity’s global organisation, ensuring that customer wins, market insights, and regional requirements shape the product and solution roadmap at a worldwide level. This is a role for a builder who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:

  • Lead & Scale the SE Team: Recruit, develop, and manage SEs and Technical Sales managers across ASEAN, building a culture of technical excellence and continuous development.

  • Drive Revenue Growth: Partner with Area VP of Sales to execute the technical GTM plan, directly contributing to high double-digit ARR growth across the region.

  • Own Pre-Sales Excellence: Guide teams through complex enterprise sales cycles — discovery to POC to close — engaging CIO, CTO, and CISO audiences with compelling technical narratives.

  • Shape Technical Strategy: Define how Cohesity’s data security, backup, and secondary storage solutions are positioned and differentiated across ASEAN markets.

  • Represent ASEAN on the Global Stage: Participate actively in worldwide pre-sales and product forums — sharing customer wins, field insights, and ASEAN-specific requirements to directly influence Cohesity’s global product and solution roadmap.

  • Enable the Channel: Lead technical engagement with key channel and alliance partners, building scalable SE programs across the region.

  • Be the Regional Spokesperson: Represent Cohesity at senior customer briefings, industry events, analyst engagements, and media opportunities across Southeast Asia.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Bridge regional customer needs with Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success, and Marketing — ensuring ASEAN perspectives shape global priorities and roadmap investments.

WE'D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • 10–15 years in enterprise technology, with 5+ years leading pre-sales or Technical Sales teams across ASEAN markets.

  • High double-digit growth track record — proven ability to drive and sustain revenue growth as a technical sales leader.

  • Deep technical expertise in data security, data management, backup, or secondary storage with strong competitive knowledge.

  • Startup / high-growth company experience — thrives with speed, ambiguity, and building high-performing teams from the ground up.

  • Multi-country team leadership across ASEAN with cultural fluency and proven cross-border management experience.

  • Global stakeholder influence — track record of representing regional business needs to worldwide product, engineering, and executive teams, translating field feedback into roadmap impact.

  • Executive presence — skilled at influencing CIO, CTO, and CISO stakeholders through compelling technical storytelling.

  • Bilingual proficiency strongly preferred — fluency in English plus one or more regional languages (e.g. Mandarin, Bahasa, Thai, Vietnamese) to engage customers and partners across ASEAN markets in their language.

  • Strong ASEAN network across enterprise, government, and partner communities; ideally with strong CTO/CISO relationships.

  • AI-augmented productivity — demonstrated use of AI tools to enhance Technical Sales team efficiency and decision-making.

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred.

In-Office Expectations
Cohesity employees who are within a reasonable commute (e.g. within a forty-five (45) minute average travel time) work out of our core offices 2-3 days a week of their choosing.
