Role Overview
As Category Director you are the CEO of a category with full ownership of P&L, driving business growth and performance. In Taiwan we are at an early stage which means you have a long runway to build your business and make an outstanding impact.

You will be responsible for designing, building, and driving extraordinary growth. This includes business strategy, overseeing budgets, structuring, identifying resource needs, and leading diverse business teams.

Roles and responsibilities:
- Provide strategic vision to develop and execute a comprehensive category strategy.
- This role is multifaceted in nature. You will work cross functionally with various teams including marketing, finance, instock management, supply chain and our external vendors.
- As a passionate advocate for our customers you will onboard a diverse and high quality product assortment by making data backed decisions and complex analysis and cultivating relationships with key partners.
- Develop pricing strategies to drive sales, maintain competitive pricing levels, and maximize profitability.
- As a strong leader, you will have good business judgment and analytical horsepower to break down complex problems, develop strategic plans to address, identify resources required to drive, and execute per those plans.
- You will drive innovation, entrepreneurship, and foster an environment of “thinking big,” while balancing the need to coordinate teams’ activities, undaunted by challenges of fast-changing business environment.
- Lead, drive, inspire a team of category managers, analysts, and support staff, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the category team, driving employee engagement and growth.
Qualifications
▪ Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
- You will possess a range of skills such as leadership development, analytical skills, excellent business judgment, strong negotiations skills, deep curiosity about how things work, and passion for creating world class shopping experience for our customers.
- Proven manager with a successful, resourceful and hands-on track record of running complex businesses end-to-end combined with strong P&L experience
- Demonstrable ability to build lasting relationships and conduct negotiations to obtain commitment, preferable terms, and achieve win-win solutions
- Able to balance strategy with strong execution skills - able to understand, deconstruct, streamline and optimize complex, large-scale business processes
- Experience building high performing diverse teams that achieve extraordinary results
- Superb analytical skills and ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders
- You will be agile, able to quickly adapt strategies and plans to come up with innovative solutions in response to dynamic business requirements.
- Decisive and able to move with speed to implement ideas
- You will be comfortable driving change across different functional teams from sales to operations to product development, as well as communicating and influencing across all levels of the organization.
