WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

The Legal Director is based in Singapore and directly reports to VP, APLA Counsel, dotted line reports to Senior Director, Assistant General Counsel, Supply Chain & Sustainability Legal (both based in Beaverton, Oregon) and provides legal leadership for Nike’s SEA&I and Supply Chain businesses. The role partners closely with senior business leaders, cross-functional teams, and legal colleagues across the entire organization. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Nike seeks a Legal Director with strong commercial judgment, work ethic, and a highly collaborative mindset. This leader goes beyond transactional law and regulatory compliance, understanding business needs, anticipating risk, and delivering clear, practical, solutions-oriented counsel in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

The successful candidate is confident engaging senior leaders, articulate, action-oriented, and  capable of operating independently and with Geo and Global teams. This role requires legal rigor, commercial pragmatism, ability to communicate clearly and succinctly, and sound judgment across a broad range of legal, regulatory, and business issues impacting SEAI and Supply Chain. A background in sustainability is strongly preferred.

Required Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree or international equivalent; licensed to practice law in Singapore and/or another jurisdiction
  • 10+ years of legal experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department; multinational experience strongly preferred
  • Substantive experience advising on commercial, consumer, digital commerce, advertising, and matters related to sales, distribution, and marketing of consumer goods in SEA&I, including distributor and partner agreements
  • Subject matter competency in manufacturing, antitrust, cross-industry initiatives, capital equipment, multi-tiered supply chains, buy/sell arrangements, direct procurement, renewable energy, regulatory compliance and disclosures, and sustainability
  • Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements and managing strategic transactions
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus: sports marketing, labor law, corporate governance, or competition law
  • Fluent in English (oral and written); fluency in additional language is a plus

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will be a trusted advisor, delivering clear, practical legal guidance for Nike SEAI, Footwear, Apparel and Material Product Supply Chains and SEAI Marketplace Supply Chain businesses. You will be responsible for leading and supervising the SEA&I legal team in Singapore and setting the legal strategy for Nike SEA&I. You will collaborate closely with legal professionals globally and regionally, support senior leadership, and help drive legal excellence across the territory.

You will:

  • Lead and manage the SEA&I legal team in Singapore
  • Lead legal support for distributor, wholesaler, and partner relationships across SEAI, including sales, marketing, and route-to-market arrangements
  • Advise on sales programs, incentives, promotions, pricing structures, and commercial terms impacting consumers and partners
  • Support and negotiate sales, distribution, and commercialization agreements, including amendments, renewals, terminations, and dispute resolution
  • Advise on issues ranging from transitioning Nike’s latest innovations from seed to scale, to supporting our manufacturing teams as they enable Nike’s source base to manufacture and deliver the highest quality products in a more sustainable, compliant and responsible way
  • Support development and implementation of legal policies, standards, templates, and negotiation playbooks
  • Deliver legal training programs to enhance business outcomes, manage risk, and promote consistent practices across the territory
  • Drive process and tool improvements, including adoption of new technologies and self-service solutions
