We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to optimize and implement our software development methodologies and architecture. We are looking for someone to execute and automate operational processes fast, accurately, and securely. In this role, you should be able to work independently with little supervision. You should have excellent organization and problem-solving skills. If you also have hands-on experience in software development and agile methodologies, we’d like to meet you.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain engineering tools (e.g., CI/CD, monitoring, data processing, research and simulation cluster management) to automate operations, boost productivity, and eliminate process bottlenecks.
- Work closely with other teams to drive system performance improvements, latency optimizations, and networking integrations between clouds, datacenters, and external partners.
- Develop, implement, and maintain security-focused solutions to ensure safe and reliable operations.
- Oversee, identify opportunities, and implement changes to track and optimize cloud and infrastructure costs and resource utilization efficiently.
- Automate cloud and on-prem infrastructure using configuration management and provisioning tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
- Design, implement, and enhance monitoring and alerting systems, define procedures for troubleshooting and maintenance, and conduct root cause analysis for production issues.
- Ensure production stability and continuity, responding quickly to incidents to minimize downtime.
- Prior exposure to large-scale systems design, distributed systems troubleshooting, or cloud-native applications.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science, Engineering, Computing, or equivalent.
- Strong experience with AWS services, particularly EKS, S3, SQS, IAM, EC2, and Lambda, as well as Linux administration.
- In-depth understanding of how OS, processes, threads, CPU, memory, and networking behave under load, with hands-on experience in performance tuning and latency optimization for low-latency environments.
- Familiarity with advanced networking technologies such as AWS Direct Connect, VPNs, VPC Endpoints, Transit Gateways, as well as non-AWS stacks like DPDK and Aeron.
- Knowledge of on-prem tech (e.g., Proxmox, Cisco) and cloud architectures.
- Strong notions of security best practices.
- Programming proficiency in Python; knowledge of C# or C++ is a plus.
- A technologist who is passionate about their field and able to demonstrate deep technical credibility to their team and the wider company.
