Customer Solutions Manager (Major Projects) / KONE Southeast Asia
We are looking for a Customer Solutions Manager (CSM) to lead the most demanding projects and play a key role in growing KONE’s new building business. The CSM will collaborate with sales, engineering, global teams, and the Supply Line organization to develop competitive and customer-focused solutions, ensuring technical and commercial excellence throughout the tendering process and project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demand Creation: Work closely with the sales team to evaluate Requests for Proposal, identify new opportunities, and engage with consultants, architects, and key customers to define project requirements and promote KONE solutions.
- Opportunity Evaluation: Support project assessments by reviewing customer specifications, timelines, and technical feasibility. Coordinate traffic analysis, BIM inputs, and risk reviews with local and regional experts to ensure optimal solution design.
- Tender Creation: Lead the preparation of tender, technical solution definition, and life-cycle value analysis. Drive internal alignment between country, regional, and global stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality tender submissions.
- Value Engineering: Develop optimized and cost-effective elevator solutions that meet project requirements while ensuring competitiveness, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.
- Post-Tender Support: Participate in customer presentations, clarify technical details, and ensure consistent communication and follow-up during the negotiation phase.
- Value Selling: Apply a Value Selling approach by focusing on customer outcomes, lifecycle benefits, and total cost of ownership. Develop and communicate clear value propositions that differentiate KONE solutions, emphasizing long-term benefits, efficiency, safety, sustainability, and digital services.
- Project Handover & Execution Support: Ensure a smooth transition from sales to execution by coordinating start-up meetings, validating as-sold specifications, and providing support for technical variations or customer clarifications during execution.
- Continuous Improvement: Share insights with product and offering management, support internal capability building, and contribute to the Customer Solutions Engineering network within KONE.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant field, with 5+ years of experience in elevator projects
- Strong understanding of elevator design and construction.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and presentation skills.
- Ability to translate customer needs into technical and commercial solutions.
- Proficiency in English and familiarity with CRM and engineering tools (AutoCAD, BIM, etc.).
