Join our growing Corporate Benefits team as a Benefits Associate!
As an Associate in Corporate Benefits, you will play a crucial role in managing the service of U.S. health care and insurance plans and associated programs. This position requires a high level of customer service excellence, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to analyze data and trends to develop root cause analyses for recommending process and program improvements. The ideal candidate will possess subject matter expertise in U.S. healthcare and insurance benefits, enrollment processes, governing laws, and complex claims navigation. You will support benefits delivery to a large employee population, navigating and understanding the intersection of benefits with other HR areas, including coordination of coverage with Medicare and other non-JPMC benefits.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage and resolve escalated cases on all health care and insurance plans and related benefit programs from various channels, effectively prioritizing and addressing competing priorities while demonstrating a deep understanding of HR policies and disciplines such as recruiting, onboarding, payroll, leave of absence, and retirement.
  • Navigate complex health care and insurance claims and authorizations, engaging relevant carriers and vendors to assist employees in resolving concerns and obtaining the appropriate support.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify system and communication changes needed, providing feedback and coaching or additional training to partners, and leveraging insights across all HR stakeholders..
  • Monitor multiple inquiry and service support channels, including Teams, ServiceNow and Outlook to identify trends and issues, and take action to report and resolve them efficiently.
  • Understand and have the ability to effectively communicate coordinated coverage, including Medicare/Medicaid and other non-JPMC benefits, to ensure comprehensive benefits delivery, servicing and compliance.
  • Contribute to U.S. Benefits communications and projects, advise on HR Servicing training materials and job aids to achieve objectives, enhance understanding and administration of benefits plans.
  • Engage in call listening with internal and external partners to provide feedback ensuring optimum customer service and accurate administration of the benefits plans.
  • Respond to written inquiries with detailed and clear guidance, ensuring comprehensive communication and understanding of benefits and impacts with other HR plans/programs.
  • Provide feedback and training to peers, HR Servicing, and other stakeholders on plan changes, enhancing overall understanding and implementation across HR functions.
  • Review and edit plan and participant communications and documents to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with HR and benefits strategies.
  • Ensure plan compliance by processing and responding to legal requests and court orders with precision, understanding the broader HR implications.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • At least five years in healthcare and insurance customer service.
  • Demonstrate proven ability to pivot between working as an independent contributor and as part of a team, adapting to various work environments and HR contexts.
  • Leverage experience in escalation centers or call centers to enhance service delivery and problem resolution, with a focus on HR and benefits integration.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • College degree preferred.
