Job Description
The Treasury and the Chief Investment Office (TCIO) within JPMorgan is responsible for firm wide asset and liability management for one of the world's largest global financial institutions with a $2.5 trillion balance sheet, including more than $900 billion in loans and $1.4 trillion in deposits. Because it sits at the very center of the firm, TCIO directly influences the composition of the firm's balance sheet as well the activities of the firm's three main lines of business (LOBs): Asset & Wealth Management, Commercial & Investment Bank, and Consumer & Community Banking.
The area of focus for the Capital Product team is in managing the end to end risk-weighted asset (RWA) and capital measurement processes across the firm, ensuring efficient and appropriate management of our capital, and managing the Firm wide Capital Stress Testing process. The Capital Product team drives all large and complex initiatives across Capital to deliver key priorities for the Firm including the implementation of ongoing regulatory changes and the development of a new reporting and analytics application. The team partners closely with a wide array of stakeholders around the Firm such as Capital and Liquidity Policy on internal rule interpretation, Chief Data Offices to initiate data lineages/scoping, Technology, Capital Management, Lines of Businesses and Regional Legal Entity Controllers, etc. while overseeing capital model development and implementation.
Job responsibilities:
  • Work on the modernization of Regulatory Reporting systems and processes for JP Morgan that are submitted to the Federal Reserve and inform senior leadership.
  • Work on future implementation of rulesets like Basel III Finalization (a.k.a. Basel 4 in US / CRR3 in EU).
  • Collaboration with functional teams and various technology groups to gather requirements and execute project plan to completion, ensuring high quality delivery in line with regulatory and business requirements.
  • Analyze and re-engineer current processes to produce an innovative, efficient and controlled new process that adds value to the end user. Conduct any necessary training with stakeholders so they are ready to use any new processes.
  • Preparation of detailed test cases / expected results and performance of both Functional and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the Capital landscape in JPM across LOBs and functions.
  • Ability to track key milestones and highlight key risks, issues and dependencies on specific items.
  • Adhere to deadlines, organize and prioritize work effectively working to flexible priorities.
  • Coordinate working group meetings, setting the agenda, preparing meeting materials, documenting minutes and ensuring clear ownership of action items.
  • Able to influence and motivate upward, downward and amongst stakeholders.
  • Involvement in the firms digitalization agenda to improve and enhance current team processes.

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities:
  • 2+ years of treasury, financial or regulatory reporting experience at a large financial institution.
  • Knowledge or desire to learn program/project management, Op Models and systems development methodology with demonstrated success at achieving results and keeping initiatives on track.
  • Proven ability to build strong partnerships with colleagues and desire to learn quickly, be flexible and think strategically.
  • Good understanding of the Project Lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office - MS Excel , MS Access, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong Innovation, analytical & problem solving skills.
  • Strong focus on client, quality and the control environment.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills.
  • Enthusiastic, motivated and able to work under pressure.
  • Looking to develop leadership, influence and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience presenting to senior management and large groups.
