About the Role:

The Consulting Engineering Technical Leader is Cisco's senior Enterprise Networking professional services technical leader for complex customer transformations. The role combines deep hands-on expertise with technical leadership to assess, plan, design, implement, migrate, optimize and support Cisco Enterprise Networking solutions. The role holder is a trusted advisor to senior customer stakeholders, translating business outcomes into secure, scalable and operable architectures while leading delivery teams and cross functional stakeholders through successful customer adoption.

Your impact

• Lead complex service engagements from discovery and assessment through plan, high-level and low-level design, staging, implementation, migration, testing, handover and post-implementation support, focusing on Enterprise Solutions, with DC solutions as a plus

• Provide hands-on technical leadership for Cisco enterprise Wi-Fi, RF survey and design, Software-Defined Access (SDA), Software-Defined WAN (SD-WAN), Identity Services Engine (ISE), Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) and firewall solutions.

• Own the technical delivery strategy, architecture quality, delivery risks, dependencies, change controls and escalation management for complex cross-functional projects.

• Lead solution workshops and design reviews with customer architects, operations teams and senior executives; clearly articulate technical options, business value, risks and recommendations.

• Establish trusted-advisor relationships with senior customer leaders and align technical roadmaps to their business outcomes, lifecycle needs, adoption goals and operational readiness.

• Collaborate with Cisco account teams, service sales specialists, Customer Success, partners, and other delivery stakeholders to provide a unified customer experience. Shape and position practical service solutions and service offerings, defining scope and assumptions, identifying risks and dependencies, estimating effort, and supporting service proposals and statements of work.

• Drive customer adoption by developing clear deliverables, operational documentation, knowledge transfer and success measures that enable sustainable customer outcomes.

• Apply automation and AI-enabled methods responsibly, leveraging Digitized Delivery methodology to improve delivery efficiency, quality.

• Develop reusable delivery assets, design standards, automation artifacts and lessons learned that improve Cisco delivery methodology and practice capability.

• Coach and mentor consulting engineers, lead technical communities of practice, and build depth across the Enterprise Networking delivery team.

• Maintain current knowledge of Cisco portfolio strategy, adjacent technologies, relevant Cisco Confidential third-party integrations and market trends to inform customer recommendations.

Minimum Skills/Experience:

• 12+ years of relevant networking, consulting or professional services experience, including meaningful hands-on design and delivery responsibility for complex enterprise network transformations.

• Active Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification required; Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE) certification preferred.

• Deep hands-on expertise in Cisco enterprise wireless, including Wi-Fi architecture, RF surveys, predictive and onsite design, capacity planning, roaming, troubleshooting and Wireless LAN Controller platforms.

• Strong hands-on design and implementation experience with Cisco SDA, SD-WAN, ISE, network segmentation, policy, authentication, access control and enterprise firewall integration.

• Proven experience leading full project delivery lifecycle activities, including planning, design, implementation, migration, validation, operational handover. • Experience defining technical scope, assumptions, dependencies, risks, effort estimates and delivery plans for customer-facing professional services engagements.

• Demonstrated pre-sales consulting experience working with sales, customers and partners to position service solutions and translate customer requirements into practical delivery approaches and Cisco service offerings.

• Strong client consulting, stakeholder management and executive communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical decisions in business terms.

• Experience with Data Center ACI and Data Center VXLAN EVPN is preferred, including their integration with enterprise and hybrid environments.

• Working knowledge of network automation, programmability and telemetry; Python, APIs and infrastructure automation experience is an advantage.

• Ability to lead across matrixed teams, influence without authority, mentor technical talent and handle challenging priorities under limited direction.
