Client Strategist 

As a Client Strategist, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing key client accounts' strategic direction and growth. While the Account Operations team will manage the primary day-to-day client contact, you will drive the overall strategic vision, provide high-level insights, and lead planning sessions. Your marketing strategy expertise and ability to identify growth opportunities and deliver data-driven recommendations will ensure clients' business objectives are met and exceeded. You will work closely with both clients and internal teams to align on long-term goals, optimise ongoing campaigns, and uncover new growth opportunities.

Role: 

Client Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary strategic advisor for clients, building strong, trust-based relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure that clients are consistently engaged and satisfied with the strategic direction and insights provided by the agency.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client business objectives, challenges, and industry dynamics.
  • Ensure clear communication of insights and recommendations as well as actionable next steps for clients to implement

Strategic Insight & Recommendations

  • Review and analyse client briefs, scopes, and KPIs, offering strategic recommendations for improvement, growth, and optimisation.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs), presenting data-driven insights and strategic recommendations that drive client success.
  • Monitor and evaluate campaign performance, providing clients and internal teams with actionable insights.

Scope & Opportunity Identification

  • Identify and act on areas for upselling, cross-selling, and new business development opportunities within existing client relationships.
  • Analyse competitive landscape and market trends to provide clients with insights that inform business and marketing strategies.
  • Stay on top of industry trends, competitive analysis, and emerging technologies to offer clients forward-thinking, innovative strategies.

Client Strategy & Growth

  • Lead strategic planning sessions, ensuring all client campaigns align with their overall business goals.
  • Serve as a thought leader, continuously bringing clients fresh ideas and innovative approaches.
  • Work with the account operations team to monitor client satisfaction levels, collaborating proactively to resolve issues before they arise.

Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate with and lead cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of client strategies.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to ensure that client recommendations and strategies drive towards business goals. 

You:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in account management, client strategy, or marketing, ideally within an agency environment.
  • Proven background as an Account Director or in a senior client-facing role, with experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of marketing strategy, digital channels, and performance metrics.
  • Experience in conducting and leading business reviews, presenting strategic insights, and recommending growth opportunities to clients.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent client relationship management and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyse data, generate insights, and develop actionable strategies.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms, including CRM, analytics, and campaign management systems.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple client priorities.
  • Strong leadership presence and the ability to work with internal teams and clients at all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
