What You’ll Do:
As a Client Partner in our Gaming Vertical Team, you will take the helm of X’s advertising strategy for the gaming industry in APAC, with a particular focus on top gaming clients based in Greater China. This role is perfect for an enthusiastic X user with a deep passion for gaming and a proven ability to drive client relationships and revenue growth. Based in our Singapore office, you will report to the Regional Sales Manager and engage in regional travel to connect with clients and agencies. Responsibilities:
• Strategic Leadership: Define and execute X’s gaming client strategy and roadmap to develop and strengthen business partnerships with top gaming clients in APAC, particularly those based in Greater China.
• Relationship Building: Forge and maintain long-term collaborative relationships with senior-level executives at gaming clients and their agencies, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.
• Revenue Growth: Formulate and implement an industry-specific strategy to drive client growth, achieve revenue objectives, and identify incremental business opportunities for X’s advertising solutions.
• Client Collaboration: Work closely with gaming clients to understand their business and marketing goals, designing tailored advertising campaigns that leverage X’s platform for both performance marketing and brand-building.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with internal teams, including Client Account Managers, to ensure seamless execution and optimization of client campaigns while uncovering new revenue opportunities.
• Industry Expertise: Stay ahead of trends in the gaming and social media advertising landscapes, adapting to X’s evolving product offerings and providing thought leadership to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration within the Gaming Vertical Team.
Requirements:
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years in sales or business development, with a strong focus on the gaming industry and/or digital advertising. Extensive experience working with Chinese gaming clients is essential.
• Ad Sales Expertise: Proven track record in ad sales with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed revenue targets, particularly within the gaming sector.
• Gaming Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the gaming ecosystem, including key players, trends, and challenges, with a focus on the APAC market and Greater China.
• Strategic Mindset: Ability to develop and execute long-term client strategies that align with both client goals and X’s business objectives.
• Relationship Management: Exceptional ability to build and maintain relationships with C-level executives and senior stakeholders at gaming clients and agencies.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with fluency in both English and Mandarin (required to liaise/negotiate/communicate with China-based clients).
• Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive decisions across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Travel: Willingness to travel regionally as needed.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or higher.Preferred Qualifications:
• Extensive experience working with gaming clients in Greater China, with an established network in the industry.
• Familiarity with performance marketing, user acquisition, and growth strategies specific to the gaming sector.
• Proven success in managing large, complex client portfolios and driving business transformation through innovative advertising solutions.Language Requirements:
• Fluency in English in Mandarin are required to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders across the APAC region, particularly in Greater China.
