Key Responsibilities:

We’re looking for a Client Manager to join our Institutional Sales team to develop and identify new institutional business opportunities with prospective clients and cross-sell to existing clients in Southeast Asia.



 What you’ll do 

  • To work with the Head of Institutional Business to develop and implement business development plans and strategy for Southeast Asia.
  • To develop relationships and secure business opportunities with prospective institutional clients, including but not limited to official institutions, insurance companies, family offices, across public and private markets 
  • To manage the relationship of selected existing clients, both asset retention as well as cross-selling opportunities 
  • To be responsible for preparing sales proposals and client meeting presentation materials by liaising and coordinating with internal parties/departments, such as RFP team, Fund/Product Managers and other related support teams. 
  • To work closely with Marketing Team for marketing events to strengthen and promote our company profile. 
  • To attend industry events to ensure Schroders’ presence in the industry. 
  • To assist the Head of Institutional Business by maintaining regular contact with major consultants. 
  • To guide and collaborate with the client servicing team, and ensure a high standard of client servicing, proactive management of potential issues, and activities (e.g. client on-boarding, reporting) are conducted in accordance to require policies/procedures/contract agreements. 

 

Essential Skills 

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent subjects 
  • Professional accreditation i.e. CFA qualification will be an advantage 
  • At least 8 years of experience in a front office role such as business development, product specialist in global asset management companies, or investment function at an asset owner 
  • Good market and technical knowledge of all asset classes 
  • Experience as a senior individual contributor in building new relationships and maintaining existing institutional clients’ relationship 
  • Enjoys bringing in fresh ideas to develop new channels into the institutional business 
  • Good in both communication and presentation skills 
  • Enjoys analytical work and finer details 
  • Proficient in MS Words, Excel, PowerPoint 
  • Willingness to learn new applications
