Position Overview
The Chief of Staff to the President, APAC is a high-impact, highly visible role that sits at the center of Vantage's Asia-Pacific executive function. This individual will serve as a strategic partner, force multiplier, and trusted advisor to the APAC President, ensuring that leadership priorities are executed with speed and precision across a complex, multi-market geography.
This is an ideal role for a driven, analytically minded professional with the presence and judgment to operate at the executive level and the versatility to move seamlessly between strategy, operations, and stakeholder management. The Chief of Staff will be embedded in all major decisions shaping Vantage's growth across APAC.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Support & Office of the President
- Prepare and refine executive materials including board presentations, investor briefings, leadership forums, and internal communications
- Attend key meetings on behalf of or alongside the President, capturing decisions, tracking actions, and driving accountability
- Manage inbound requests and triage strategic decisions, ensuring the President's time is directed toward highest-value activities
Strategy & Business Operations
- Support the development and execution of the APAC regional strategy, working across business development, construction, operations, and finance
- Lead or contribute to cross-functional strategic initiatives including market entry analysis, partnership evaluations, and operating model design
- Build and maintain a regional performance dashboard, providing the President with visibility into KPIs, milestones, and emerging risks
- Partner with the global Chief of Staff network to ensure APAC priorities are represented in enterprise-level planning processes
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
- Facilitate relationships with key internal stakeholders including global functional leaders, regional country managers, and the Board
- Support the President in managing relationships with major customers, partners, government bodies, and investors across APAC markets
- Coordinate regional leadership team meetings, offsites, and executive forums — from agenda design through to follow-up execution
Communications & Culture
- Draft internal and external communications on behalf of the President, including regional all-hands messages, customer correspondence, and media Q&A preparation
- Champion a high-performance, inclusive team culture within the APAC region, supporting the President in reinforcing Vantage's values and engagement priorities
- Act as a cultural bridge between global headquarters and APAC markets, ensuring alignment without sacrificing regional agility
Qualifications
Required
- 8+ years of professional experience, with a meaningful portion in strategy, management consulting, investment banking, or senior operations roles
- Demonstrated experience working at or directly with C-suite executives in a complex, matrixed organisation
- Strong command of financial analysis, business case development, and executive-level presentation skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to distil complex information into clear, concise narratives
- Proven ability to manage multiple high stakes workstreams simultaneously in a fast-moving environment
- Experience working across multiple APAC markets, with an understanding of the commercial, cultural, and regulatory dynamics of the region
Preferred
- Background in infrastructure, real estate, technology, or adjacent capital-intensive industries
- Experience in high-growth or private equity-backed businesses with significant development or M&A activity
- Proficiency in Mandarin, Japanese, or another APAC language is a meaningful asset
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree from a leading institution
