The Security Services Organization (SSO) is responsible for the product management of Mastercard's safety and security-related solutions, protecting the integrity of electronic payments. SSO products are focused on identity, cybersecurity, authentication, fraud prevention, risk mitigation and dispute resolution across payment and non-payment rails with all stakeholders in the payments ecosystem: issuers, acquirers, merchants, processors and consumers.
Overview of Accountabilities:
This Director Regional Product Management - SSO, Asia Pacific is responsible for developing and implementing strategies, building partnerships, and supporting sales initiatives to drive Government segment adoption of Mastercard's safety and security solutions. The Director will manage implementation of Center of Excellence commitments around Cybersecurity in the region. This role also manages product performance tracking, budget forecasting, and ongoing collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to enhance Mastercard's product offerings and national security postures across the Asia Pacific region.
Role• Develop and implement Asia Pacific strategies for SSO targeting the Government segment. Align with Global counterparts, regional and divisional SSO Product leads and regional Public Sector teams on AP's SSO for Government strategy. • Understand SSO product functionality and features, and commercialization of products in consultation with internal stakeholders. Map SSO product functionality to the needs of Government customers and support sales teams in identifying new opportunities and positioning products to Government clients and prospects.• Build relationships with other Mastercard product teams: Services, Core and Commercial & New Payment Flows; to coordinate a One Mastercard product approach to targeting the Government segment.• Foster and maintain a close partnership with regional sales teams and divisional product teams to drive Government SSO sales opportunities. Maintain an open approach to opportunities that target Governments directly, or augment safety and security across national ecosystems. • Actively track Mastercard Asia Pacific's SSO sales pipeline to Governments and work with internal stakeholders to accelerate revenue realization by overcoming challenges specific to the segment, e.g. contracting, liability caps, distribution. • Track and report on the performance of Mastercard SSO products consumed by Governments across the Asia Pacific region. Ensure accurate and timely budget tracking and forecasting.• Collaborate broadly with internal stakeholders to highlight and transfer success within the Government segment. This includes building scalable Government narratives and case studies. • Garner Government customer feedback on Mastercard SSO products and demonstrate product management excellence (i.e. STUDIO) with targeted contributions toward ongoing product development and improvement. • Maintain several critical Government entity relationships with whom we collaborate on Centers of Excellence (COE), providing training and upskilling at a national level to augment national security postures. Establish and maintain a plan of work for the COEs.• Foster relationships with ecosystem participants that help Mastercard raise awareness of macro trends affecting countries and societies, e.g. scams. With partners, build advocacy platforms that highlight Mastercard's proactive role in bringing safety and security to national ecosystems. • Demonstrate thought-leadership, product/technology development expertise and strong project management skills in the integration of technology into new product and service solutions.
All About You• This position requires a highly collaborative individual who will need to manage relationships across multiple functional areas, regions and executives. You should have experience managing projects across different teams.• Some experience of working with Government entities is preferred, but not essential. At the minimum, a level of curiosity around the public sphere and a good understanding of macro political trends is required. • Cross-functional team leadership experience managing multiple, complex projects concurrently and delivering timely results under tight timelines• Knowledge of payment processing industry, cybersecurity, identity, fraud or authentication products and the broader ecosystem is a plus. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to identify key issues, structure analysis and synthesize large amounts of data, and provide recommendations effectively.• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility: team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible.• Personal presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior management and business partners.• Ability to embrace complexity, but deliver/articulate simplicity.• Advanced degree in business, political science, communications or economics will be helpful.
