At Riot, we deliver unforgettable gaming, esports, and entertainment experiences to our fans around the world. Publishing is how we connect with those players, and Publishing teams focus on creating harmonized, holistic experiences around and across our entire product portfolio. Core capabilities include marketing, strategy, commercial partnerships, community management, player support, localization, and other experiences that span across products. The APAC Publishing Operations team is composed of regional operations managers and market experts who are focused on optimizing how Riot delivers local player and fan experiences. Our work involves coordinating release schedules, executing localized marketing campaigns, and streamlining operational workflows to ensure successful program launches and sustained growth. We collaborate closely with various teams to translate product strategies into effective publishing actions, address local audience needs and motivations, and measure and enhance business performance through data-driven analytics and strategic initiatives.

As a Business Operations (Contract) within APAC’s Publishing Operations team, you will use your in-depth analytical craft to work with our regional teams across diverse cultures and as a thought partner to business leaders making visible and meaningful investment and planning decisions, with a particular emphasis on supporting publishing partners in our region. Your strong analytical and project management skills combined with deep local market knowledge will help Partners and Business leaders make better decisions and achieve performance outcomes. This background will help you successfully partner across the region to serve our players, launch new titles, and sustain growth. You will report to APAC’s Head of Publishing Operations. The onsite work location is at our regional headquarters in Singapore.

Responsibilities

  • Support partners and regional publishing teams by providing data and recommendations that optimize impact of marketing campaigns and publishing operations.
  • Conduct in-depth business operations analysis to inform publishing decisions, establishing regular reporting for campaign performance, player engagement, and market trends.
  • Collaborate with Strategic Advisory, Regional Product Leads, Partners, and Service teams to support Riot APAC’s partner management strategy and execution.
  • Develop and present comprehensive reports and slide decks with clear visualizations and narratives, translating complex operational data into actionable recommendations.
  • Take full ownership of projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery of strategic recommendations that drive regional growth and player engagement.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree or significant work experience in Consulting, Operations, Analytics, Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in analytics, strategy, or product management within the technology and media industry.
  • Strong foundation in data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, Python, Tableau, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Experience in evaluating marketing campaigns, player engagement strategies, and publishing strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing operational challenges.
  • Proven ability to develop strong, open, and collaborative working relationships with peers and senior leaders, with excellent communication and presentation skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in Operations Management, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with common industry player research and data platforms, such as DataAI (formerly AppAnnie), GlobalWebIndex, NewZoo, NPD, or YouGov.
  • Experience working with global teams across diverse cultures, with a deep understanding of the APAC market dynamics.

We think that the best candidates are those who are energized by figuring out what works and what doesn’t. This is an important focus area for many partner teams across Publishing, so proactivity, prioritization, patience, comfort with ambiguity, and a self-starter mindset are essential keys to success in this position.

For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes the delight of players. We will be looking at your past studies, experience, and your personal relationship with games. If you embody player empathy and care about players' experiences, this could be your role!

Don’t forget to include a resume and cover letter. We receive a lot of applications, but we’ll notice a fun, well-written intro that shows us you take play seriously.
