As a Counterparty Credit Risk Management Specialist at OCBC, you will play a critical role in managing the bank's exposure to counterparty credit risk. You will have the opportunity to work with a team of experienced professionals to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks, and contribute to the bank's overall risk management strategy. How you succeed

To succeed in this role, you will need to develop a deep understanding of the bank's counterparty credit risk management framework and policies. You will need to analyze complex data sets, identify potential risks, and develop effective mitigation strategies. You will also need to collaborate with various stakeholders, including traders, risk managers, and senior management, to ensure that risk management decisions are informed and effective.

What you do
  • Manage counterparty credit risk (CCR) arising from the Group’s derivatives portfolio, security financing portfolio and provide analytical support to credit approvers and business on transaction flows, and portfolio analysis.

  • Support development and maintenance of methodology, models and framework applicable to counterparty pre-settlement risk, settlement risk, concentration risk within derivative portfolio and collateral pool.

  • Monitor the Bank’s counterparty credit risk from Global Market portfolios, perform risk analysis at both counterparty level and portfolio level to capture and highlight concentration risk, correlation risk and other non-conventional risks which are not captured in financial models.

  • Participate in the implementation and enhancement of CCR risk models within exposure management systems and oversee the end-to-end flow CCR exposure flow to ensure risk exposures are accurately captured and reported, collaborate with other control functions for model validation for compliance with internal and regulatory governance standard.

  • Conduct system testing and exposure validation exercises, including investigation of data discrepancies. Prepare and maintain relevant model, methodology and procedure documentation.

  • Engage and coordinate with key stakeholders across Business, Technology, Operations, and other Risk Control functions on system development (enhancement), data integrity, exposure investigations and process improvements.

Who you are
  • More than 5 years of relevant experience in counterparty credit risk management or similar analytical roles. Experience in managing security financing business of prime brokerage portfolio or wealth management portfolio will be an advantage.

  • Good understanding of derivatives products and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Programming and computing skills with Microsoft office suite and database applications would be advantageous.

  • Able to work with stakeholders, with a balanced, open-mind and a one-Bank perspective.

  • Strong communicator with excellent influencing skills and positive energy, able to work independently, proactively and a team player.
