About the Role

The AVP, HR & Business Partnering is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The role serves as a consultant in the assigned business units on human resource-related issues. The successful AVP, HR & Business Partnering acts as a strategic partner, employee champion and change agent. The role proactively delivers the HR related people targets aligned with business imperatives.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Partnership:

  • Acts as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the business unit in delivering people strategies and goals.
  • Develops and implements HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business imperatives.

Employee Relations:

  • Ensures HR policies, procedures, and programs are properly implemented and documented
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues, conducts thorough and objective investigations as necessary.
  • Provides clear guidelines and works closely with line managers on any HR matter (e.g., coaching, counseling, performance review, career development, disciplinary actions).

Talent Management and People Development:

  • Works with other functions in HR on individual and team development plan.
  • Partners with the Business Unit Heads on workforce management, building strong talent bench and succession plan.
  • Creates programs on high performing teams and employee retention programs

Organizational Development:

  • Works with business units to identify and implement organizational development and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Facilitates change management initiatives and ensures smooth transitions of change in the organization, effectively communicates and implements necessary changes.

Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Leads the talent acquisition initiatives and ensures timely onboarding of qualified candidates.
  • Oversees and supports the onboarding process and ensures new hires are integrated smoothly into the company.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree is an advantage.
  • 8+ years combined experience in HRBP and Talent Acquisition roles.
  • Demonstrates experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, within the finance or tech industries and start up spaceindustries is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations across Asia Pacific, with a track record of ensuring compliance.
  • Proven track record in designing or facilitating People Development frameworks, such as mentorship programs, competency mapping, or leadership training.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of Compensation & Benefits principles, including salary grading, incentive schemes, and benefits administration.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives and drive results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
