YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In this internship role, you will support the implementation, delivery, and continuous improvement of products and services within the Measurement & Analytics Division. This is an excellent opportunity to acquire practical, hands-on experience that complements your academic studies while enhancing your professional skills and employment prospects. You will work closely with various teams across ABB's operations, gaining valuable insights into how we serve customers and drive innovation in smart instrumentation and analytics solutions.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Supporting the implementation and delivery of products and services by collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective coordination and successful project completion within defined timelines

  • Utilizing your understanding of customer needs and ABB's solutions to contribute to determining effective technical solutions that align with customer requirements and project outcomes

  • Communicating with business teams to understand existing processes and actively contributing to continuous process improvement efforts across assigned projects

  • Seeking regular feedback and guidance from your manager and team members to enhance your technical skills, performance, and professional development throughout the internship.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical, Automation, or related discipline) or equivalent technical field with strong academic performance

  • Demonstrated passion for automation, measurement technology, or industrial applications with a solid understanding of fundamental engineering principles and technical concepts

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, ask clarifying questions, and contribute constructively to team environments

  • Practical experience or coursework in automation systems, PLC programming, instrumentation, or related areas; familiarity with engineering software tools is advantageous

  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to think analytically, learn quickly, and apply knowledge to real-world technical challenges

  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of Mandarin Chinese is beneficial
