Since launching in 1998, Disney Cruise Line has established itself as a leader in the cruise industry, providing a setting where families can reconnect, adults can recharge and children can experience all Disney has to offer. About the Role

This role will be a critical position, partnering with the Manager, Travel Trade Marketing as we prepare to create magic at sea in Southeast Asia. You will be a crucial part of establishing the travel industry marketing engagement for the successful introduction and sustainment of Disney Adventure. 

Travel Trade Marketing will play a prominent role in the expansion. The Associate Manager, Travel Trade Marketing will plan, develop, and launch travel trade engagement, paving the way for a successful entry into these exciting markets.  This role provides the opportunity to collaborate with the Travel Trade, Wholesalers and OTA servicing trade marketing materials and driving trade engagement necessary to drive awareness, understanding and excitement of Disney Cruise Line.

This role will be part of a team responsible to lead the Travel Trade marketing for all markets, ensuring creative materials are created and modified to service the distinct needs of the trade. The role will work hand in hand with leadership to ensure clear delineation and integration between consumer direct and trade communication.  The role integrates with Senior Manager, Travel Trade Marketing and Senior Manager, Creative to ensure creative assets and materials are developed specifically for these channels. Effective trade campaigns will ensure conversion of Disney Cruise line packages via these important channels.

You should be an energetic, proactive, self-starter with experience working within a large-scale travel industry business. Candidates must work well in teams and possess the ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

Performing the role with excellence includes having strong strategic vision, proven relationship and influencing skills, balance of creative and business acumen, learning agility and ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment to navigate a complex launch on an accelerated timeline.

In this role, you will be part of a team that drives complex travel trade marketing work, understanding the needs and lead times to influence effective trade campaigns across the sales distribution landscape of our key markets.

  • Deploy strategic plans, developing and executing travel industry marketing strategies that achieve Disney Cruise line goals within Southeast Asia, and Rest of Asia (e.g. India, Japan, Korea, Thailand).
  • Partner hand in hand with the Sales teams to understand the distinct needs of the trade.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales to conceptualise and deliver key travel trade events, overseeing activation ideation, design and build, as well as the creation and review of marketing collaterals across pre-event, onsite and post-event phases.
  • Develop, plan and launch market relevant trade marketing programs to drive awareness, understanding and conversion.
  • Ensure comprehensive delivery across traditional trade channels as well as online to develop support plans for each providers distinct needs.
  • Drive the creation and continuous optimisation of trade assets across B2B and B2C channels to support evolving marketing strategies, campaigns and trade engagement objectives.Stay up to date with industry trends and events ensuring a keen understand of marketing impact within the trade channels.
  • Plan and oversee campaign management not limited to digital, co-op, social, email and content creation.
  • Support trade’s KOL and influencer collaborations by reviewing content deliverables to ensure brand consistency, accuracy and alignment with campaign messaging.
  • Ensure fiscal responsibility of campaign management in allocating budgets efficiently, ensuring strong return on investment.
  • In collaboration with Sales Managers maintain relationships within the trade and relevant stakeholders to enhance trade marketing efforts.
  • Maintain and strengthen the Company’s brand image ensuring consistency in messaging and appropriate use of brand IP.  Partnering closely with the Marketing & Creative team.
  • Establish key KPI metrics across travel trade marketing performance and ensure ongoing measurement and learning.
  • Demonstrates maturity and ability to manage numerous stakeholders as well as efficiently work across time zones.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in leading travel trade campaigns and communications.
  • Previous work experience in travel industry, marketing communications, distribution channel and sales strategy
  • Keen understanding of the region.
  • Significant experience in managing complex projects in a fast-paced environment reliant upon successful collaboration and integration of key stakeholders.
  • Exceptional knowledge of all facets of marketing across paid, earned, and owned.
  • Experience in project management and driving ideas into action.
  • Skilled at building effective partner relationships and influencing peers, partners and leaders.
  • Experience in integrating with sales distribution partners to ensure an integrate Marketing & Sales approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus superior professionalism
  • Advanced presentation skills and proven track record of influencing executive audiences.
  • Skilled at understanding performance metrics to assess & optimize programs.
  • Travel Industry experience required
  • Ability to travel internationally.

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • MBA or strong business experience and background is preferred
