Job Description

Credit Management sits within Global Business Management and serves to support Global Markets Front Office for credit limit related matters and provides assistance to coordinate any credit limit issues or requests with other various business, risk and operations units within the Bank. We help to ensure that Global Markets’ business activities are in line with the Bank’s prevailing credit policies with proper governance and control adopted.

Job Responsibilities

Be part of the Business Management Credit & Bullion Management team to provide support to Global Markets (“GM”) front office for all credit limit related matters and assist in liaising with relationship managers, risk management and operations when necessary.

  • Analyze market data and credit exposures extracted on regular basis to ensure GM’s trade exposures are within existing monitoring parameters prescribed in various GM’s credit frameworks with any exceptions surfaced for appropriate handling and/or investigations.
  • Manage credit limits across electronic trading platforms, ensuring accurate setup and compliance, while collaborating closely with Front Office and Product Support teams to support business needs.
  • Participate in annual reviews of all GM’s credit frameworks to engage various internal stakeholders on GM’s credit requirements and to ensure any proposed credit monitoring parameters are operationally feasible.
  • Serves as liaison for all credit-limit related matters between GM front office colleagues and internal stakeholders like risk management, operations and other business units.
  • Provides advisory services on all GM credit framework matters to front office and various internal stakeholders within the bank as and when necessary.
  • Perform earmarking/allocation of credit limits across different centers to enable GM front office ’s limit requirements are met on timely basis.
  • Engage risk policy and/or IT for any project upgrades/changes to credit limit monitoring systems and credit exposure calculation methodology with prompt communications to GM front office where necessary.

Job Requirements

  • At least a Degree from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Preferably proficient in VB programming, Data Intelligence/Analytics Tools like PowerBI etc.
  • Meticulous, responsible and proactive.
  • Able to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with various internal stakeholders.
