Position Summary
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations and accounting functions of Finance and Accounts department to ensure smooth operation of the department.
- Monitor and analyse accounting data and prepare monthly management reports and ad hoc reports for submission to the management to facilitate management decision making.
- Financial planning and forecasting (monthly and annual).
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles to ensure compliance to accounting standards and company policies.
- Assess current practices and procedures to make recommendations for improvements and perform self audit checks.
- Preparation and liaison of reports and schedules for external audits and provide support to ensure the audits are completed before the statutory filing deadline.
- Perform group consolidation schedule preparation in ERP.
- Review and approval of expense submissions and month end closing activities/accruals.
- Support treasury function for hedging and daily cashflow reporting preparation and BG review.
- Handle vendor credit application and counter party forms to assess the financial position of the vendors for advance payment limit applied.
- Prepare statutory surveys when required.
- Vendor master data management
- Process interco billings (NTS)
Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree holder
- Min 5 yrs experience with related Accounting Degree or 5 - 7 Diploma in Finance/Accounting
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Strong attention to details and meticulous with numbers / data.
- Possess desire to problem solve, resourceful nature.
