At Thredd,we’re looking for an Application Support Lead to join our global team and take ownership of the technical support operations that keep our mission-critical systems running seamlessly.
What you'll be doingAs Application Support Lead, you’ll oversee the day-to-day technical support for our business applications, ensuring high performance, reliability, and minimal disruption to end users and operations. You’ll also lead and develop a team of Application Support Engineers — driving automation initiatives and process improvements to scale and future-proof our support capabilities.
You’ll be instrumental in:
Providing hands-on technical support, including issue investigation and resolution.
Leading, mentoring, and line managing the Application Support team.
Driving automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and improve support processes.
Collaborating with engineering, product, and infrastructure teams to resolve incidents and deliver change.
Establishing best practices and championing service excellence across the team.
Strong experience leading application support teams, ideally in a payments or FinTech environment.
Hands-on experience with SQL and a good understanding of relational databases.
Proficiency with scripting tools such as PowerShell, Python, or Batch scripting.
Familiarity with modern software delivery practices including DevOps, CI/CD, Agile, and Kanban.
A working knowledge of ITIL frameworks.
Demonstrated experience in managing distributed teams across the UK, Singapore, India, and Australia.
Proven stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience with team leadership practices such as 1:1s, OKRs, and goal setting.
A proactive mindset and a desire to continuously learn and improve.
