Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for an APAC Internal Communications Lead to join our high‑performing APAC Marketing & Communications team, leading the development and delivery of internal communications aligned to GHD’s global strategic priorities and employee experience. In this hands‑on role, you will bring exceptional communication skills, strategic thinking and commercial acumen to build and continuously improve a leading internal communications ecosystem across APAC. The role focuses on developing the internal communications plan, managing internal channels, platforms and digital tools, producing compelling written and visual content, and using data and insights to optimise engagement and outcomes.

In this diverse role you will:

  • Lead the development and delivery of APAC internal communications strategies and plans, aligned to business priorities.
  • Deliver internal communications end‑to‑end across APAC - from message development and channel strategy through to writing, publishing, monitoring and reporting with a strong focus on enterprise news channels, digital channels, employee engagement and measurable outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain the APAC internal communications calendar (using Monday.com) and contribute to the global internal communications schedule to ensure alignment and visibility.
  • Create, edit and oversee internal communication content, including executive emails, announcements, intranet and Viva Engage content, newsletters and other agreed channels.
  • Support APAC Leadership by shaping clear, engaging internal messages for key announcements and employee communications, ensuring alignment with Enterprise messaging, brand and tone of voice.
  • Support and collaborate with Marketing team members across APAC, to align ways of working and provide process and delivery support for communications such as regional town halls.
  • Partner closely with People, Safety and other business functions to support internal initiatives, change programs and employee communications.
  • Act as APAC lead for internal communications platforms and tools, including Salesforce/MCAE, Viva Engage and distribution lists, ensuring strong governance, data quality and effective use.
  • Monitor, analyse and report on internal communications performance, providing insights and identify areas for improving reach, engagement and effectiveness.

What will you bring to the team?

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree preferred (e.g. Marketing, Communication, Writing/Journalism) with sound experience in marketing and communications.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing, developing and implementing fully integrated strategic communications, to advance employee engagement, business outcomes and goals.
  • Internal communications experience in a complex corporate environment.
  • Strong writing and editing skills and experience using email distribution tools and communications/marketing platforms
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a geographically dispersed team
