To support the Singapore Compliance Officer in administrative and advisory related compliance duties that are core to the delivery of ACO strategy and implementation of a robust and structured Compliance Programme in Singapore.  Play a key role in the day-to-day compliance administration matters such as organising compliance meetings, management reporting of Core Compliance (i.e., Non-Financial Crime) risk assessment and Management Information (CRA/MI), and various regulatory-related reporting.  Assist compliance advisors in the department on advisory matters where required.     

Job Responsibilities:

  • Be the primary contact point for the management of the monthly Singapore Compliance Committee meetings (“CCM”).  This includes scheduling meetings, organising internal timelines and collating the Management Information (“MI”) reporting from various teams within ACO to facilitate the preparation of the CCM materials, performing reasonableness review of the consolidated CCM materials, preparing CCM minutes, etc.

  • Support the team and work in partnership with colleagues from other teams in ACO &/or Head Office in the construction of Core Compliance CRA/MI reporting to ACO management, local branch management and any other local governance committees where necessary. 

  • Monitor action plans to ensure compliance gaps are closed in a timely manner to mitigate compliance risk.

  • Prepare MAS regulatory reports that are under ACO’s responsibility for submission to the MAS.

  • Coordinate and collate the Core Compliance responses for the relevant regulatory queries and for internal/external audit.

  • Support compliance reporting to the Head Office as required.

  • Where required, support the compliance advisors in queries pertaining to the Singapore Branch based on MAS requirements and Bank’s compliance policies and procedures. 

  • Support projects or initiatives, or take on additional responsibilities, as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree qualified and have interest in exploring a career in compliance. Fresh graduate may apply.

  • Prior exposure to banking and financial regulations in Singapore (Banking Act, Securities & Futures Act, Financial Advisers Act) will be advantageous. 

  • Strong organisation/administrative skills, meticulous, task oriented. 

  • Strong interpersonal and communications (written and verbal) skills, and ability to liaise with stakeholders across business units and functions. 

  • Good analytical skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. 

  • Positive attitude, driven, motivated, and proactive in supporting the team’s compliance deliverables. 

  • Ability to thrive in a changing environment and remain resilient under pressure.
