Responsibilities

As a member of the Business Management (APAC) team, the successful candidate will be:

  • Partnering with trading teams to address business requirements, identifying market constraints, and implementing solutions that scale APAC operations
  • Developing deep expertise in Japanese market structure, exchanges, liquidity, broker dynamics, and regulatory developments to serve as the regional subject matter expert over time
  • Assisting in building and managing relationships with exchanges, brokers, banks, and prime brokers across APAC, particularly in Japan
  • Assisting in end-to-end strategic initiatives by coordinating across Legal, Compliance, Risk, Operations, Finance, and Technology teams
  • Performing quantitative and commercial analysis to evaluate new products, trading infrastructure, venues, and market access opportunities
  • Developing analytical frameworks, recommendations, and presentation materials for executive leadership
  • Refining and scaling internal Business Management processes, reporting, and analytics as APAC operations expand
Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher with a strong academic background
  • At least 3 years of relevant financial markets experience, such as proprietary trading, investment banking, brokerage, exchanges, or market infrastructure 
  • Strong understanding of Japanese market structure and the broader electronic trading ecosystem, including market access, clearing, and market data 
  • A proven track record of independently owning cross-functional projects and managing diverse stakeholder relationships
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and commercial judgment skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Collaborative, low-ego mindset suited for a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Fluency in Japanese strongly preferred for local exchange and broker engagement
  • Working knowledge of Python, SQL, or other analytical tools is a plus
