Impact You Can Create in the Role

As an Alterationist, you play a critical role in delivering the Ultimate Perfect Fit experience for CHANEL clients. Through your technical expertise, attention to detail, and fashion sensitivity, you ensure that every altered piece respects the original allure, silhouette, and style of the collection.

Your impact includes:

  • Delivering CHANEL‑level alteration excellence

    • Perform high‑quality alterations aligned with CHANEL standards, respecting garment construction, proportions, and original design intent.

    • Interpret alteration briefs accurately, organize and execute work rigorously, and ensure flawless finishing and presentation.

    • Repair or replace garment components while maintaining the integrity and elegance of the piece.

    • Contribute directly to client satisfaction through precision, consistency, and craftsmanship.

  • Supporting boutique and workshop performance

    • Deliver alterations within agreed lead times while maintaining the highest quality standards.

    • Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies, ensuring workshop readiness.

    • Participate in boutique meetings and trainings, particularly those related to Ready‑to‑Wear.

    • Collaborate with Fashion Advisors and Boutique teams by explaining alteration work and supporting retail operations.

    • Comply with all procedures, documentation, planning, and back‑of‑house operations.

  • Enhancing teamwork and collaboration

    • Work closely with Fitting Specialists at every stage of the alteration journey.

    • Collaborate seamlessly with boutique and workshop stakeholders (FAs, Style Experts, Supervisors, BOH teams).

    • Support peers during peak periods and actively share knowledge and best practices.

    • Seek feedback openly and demonstrate humility, adaptability, and a continuous learning mindset.

What You Will Bring

  • At least 3 to 5 years of relevant tailoring and garment construction experience

  • Prior experience within an international fashion house is a strong advantage

  • Strong alteration and garment construction skills, with an eye for fit, balance, and

  • A service‑oriented mindset with professionalism and discretion

  • Rigor, organization, and reliability in a fast‑paced boutique environment

  • Fashion sensitivity and pride in delivering the Perfect Fit
