Responsibilities

• Provide pro-active support to the business units assigned. This would include review, analyse and provide recommendation on each revenue stream, project profitability and optimisation of costs.

• Handle month end and year-end closing including intercompany reconciliations.

• Provide comprehensive actual financial performance vs. budget variance and trend analysis of financials with insightful commentaries on a monthly basis.

• Compute key financial indicators and measures to optimise the financial decision-making by Business Units.

• Preparation of the annual budget and rolling forecast for the Business Units.

• Provide advisory to Business Units on tax implications and potential tax exposure for existing projects and new business opportunities.

• Manage the financial and statutory accounting for entities assigned.

• Ensure timely and accurate reporting on a monthly basis.

• Handle statutory audit, which includes preparation of financial statements as well as liaise with external auditors.

• Handle tax matters which would include the quarterly GST filing as well as corporate tax.

• Identify weak internal controls and propose mitigating measures to strengthen these areas.

• Liaise with internal & external auditors.

• Ad-hoc duties assigned and this may include review of policies and continual process re-engineering.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Accountancy or equivalent

• At least 5 years of relevant working experience

• Minimum 4 years of experience gained in Big 4 Audit Firms preferred

• Knowledge of SAP S4 Hana is an advantage

• Proficient in MS Office applications

• Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment

• Meticulous and able to work independently

• Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work with stakeholders across different divisions

• Strong business acumen, detail-oriented and hands-on
