Job Description:

Key responsibilities:

Account Servicing

  • Ensure the successful delivery of contractual rights and benefits to key Japanese brands, with a focus on athlete management, sponsorship activations, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including integrated agency teams and external partners, to align with the client’s regional goals.
  • Develop and implement athlete activation plans that align with the brand’s sponsorship strategy, focusing on amplifying athlete profiles, increasing visibility, and creating impactful brand engagements.
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly reports detailing athlete performance, social media presence, and media engagements, providing actionable insights to measure campaign impact and guide future strategies.
  • Manage relationships and campaign guidelines for athletes to ensure alignment with the brand’s messaging, values, and overall marketing objectives.
  • Facilitate seamless communication between regional and global teams to ensure alignment across all levels and drive consistent execution of campaigns.
  • Coordinate hospitality arrangements for athletes, including travel, accommodations, and event logistics, ensuring a seamless experience while fostering positive relationships. This includes facilitating athlete engagement with the brand’s clients and distributors to strengthen partnerships and enhance collaboration.
  • Identify, source, and evaluate potential athletes for sponsorship opportunities that align with the brand’s values and objectives, particularly for high-profile events like the Olympic Games or regional sports initiatives.
  • Foster and nurture long-term relationships with athletes to build trust and encourage deeper collaboration, ensuring athletes feel supported and aligned with the brand’s vision and goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ideate and execute innovative campaigns that leverage athlete partnerships to boost brand equity and drive consumer engagement.
  • Prepare costing reports and project budgets, maintaining detailed budget trackers and managing costs for ongoing projects, ensuring financial clarity and accountability.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in account management, preferably in sports marketing or sponsorships.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of managing contracts and agreements.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic financial knowledge preferred
  • Creative problem-solving skills to address client and athlete needs effectively.
  • Familiarity with local and regional market dynamics, particularly within the sports industry.
