Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Java & GenAI Engineer to join a fast moving team delivering enterprise GenAI use cases.

The team has already built and delivered several GenAI solutions, including a contact center assistant and an internal data chatbot. The contact center assistant is mainly developed in Java, while the broader GenAI stack includes technologies such as LangGraph, LangChain, DeepAgent, Langfuse and Elastic.

This role is best suited for someone with a strong Java backend engineering background who is enthusiastic about GenAI and wants to work on real enterprise use cases, not proof of concept demos. The ideal candidate does not need to be a deep GenAI expert already, but should have hands on exposure, strong engineering discipline, and the ability to learn quickly.

The person will help build new GenAI capabilities, improve existing use cases, and strengthen the engineering quality, reliability and maintainability of the applications.

What Matters Most
We are looking for someone who can:

  • Build reliable backend services in Java
  • Understand and apply REST API design and resilience patterns
  • Work with GenAI orchestration frameworks and agent based workflows
  • Improve existing applications without over engineering them
  • Learn quickly and challenge weak designs constructively
  • Operate well in an enterprise technology environment
  • Balance delivery speed with production quality
  • Bring energy, curiosity and pragmatism to the team
  • This is not a research role. It is an engineering role focused on delivering useful, maintainable and production ready GenAI applications.
