Job Description
The Planning & Management team sits within the Retail & Channels ‘Partner, Transform & Operate’ function in Group Technology & Operations (GTO). We lead planning and provide structure and oversight to ensure the function operates effectively, and in alignment with strategic priorities. Working with senior leaders and key partners, the team drives efficiency, effectiveness and quality execution across the function.
- Lead financial management activities, including cost recovery and spending discipline.
- Manage resource-related activities, covering resource planning, organization structure alignment, hiring requests and accurate people related data.
- Drive budgeting and forecasting processes, including annual budgets, volume forecasts, and headcount and cost planning.
- Drive budget-planning frameworks to guide teams in preparing forecasts and walk-though plans with senior leaders.
- Control hiring in line with affordability, and drive timesheet accuracy across the function.
- Oversee adherence to corporate policies and guidelines, including procurement, payments, third party management and outsourcing controls.
- Strengthen process discipline and ensure adherence to approved processes and controls to reduce operational risk.
- Bachelor’s degree, with relevant experience in a large organization; financial services experience preferred.
- Strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and cost management.
- Experience in resource planning and managing hiring requests.
- Demonstrated experience in driving planning frameworks, governance routines and engagement with senior leaders.
- Proven ability to strengthen process discipline and ensure adherence to policies, controls and operational standards.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, derive insights and translate them into clear recommendations.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (analysis and modelling) and strong capability in PowerPoint for producing structured, executive‑ready presentations.
- Excellent organizational skills with a disciplined, methodical approach to planning, process and control.
- Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with experience engaging senior leaders across multiple functions.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and solving problems in dynamic environments.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution, driving quality outcomes and operational effectiveness.
- High standards of accuracy, preparedness and timeliness.
