Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Finance professional to act as the finance partner for the Unsecured Lending business. This role supports management decision-making through financial analysis, planning, forecasting, and performance reporting. Prior exposure to Unsecured Loans and Cards is preferred but not required

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Deliver timely and insightful reporting on financial performance and key income drivers for Unsecured Loan products.
  • Analyse actual results and enhance or maintain financial models for income forecasting and budgeting.
  • Provide decision support to stakeholders across Credit Risk, Product, Sales Channels, and related functions.

Expense Management & Control

  • Act as the expense analyst for the Unsecured Loan business, covering both product-level and segment-level views.
  • Correlate expense drivers with actual costs and provide insights on variances.
  • Review and guide CPP Administration team (non-finance trained) on monthly expense accruals and accounting at GL account and cost centre levels

Forecasting, Budgeting & Planning

  • Support the GPFS Business Finance team on monthly expense forecasts and annual budgeting for the Unsecured Loan business unit
  • Proactively follow up with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve forecasting and budgeting issues.

Stress Testing & Capital Planning

  • Participate in the annual ICAAP exercise via review macro-economic variables (MEVs) and assess financial impact under stressed scenarios versus BAU for Unsecured Loan products

Product Performance & Governance

  • Lead the bi-annual Unsecured Product Renewal exercise.
  • Partner closely with Product teams to project two-year P&Ls at product level, derive forecast credit risk metrics and risk thresholds for management approval

Financial Systems & MIS Governance

  • Maintain MIS mappings for Unsecured Loan products within financial systems.
  • Ensure correct product classification and revenue recognition in line with Group Finance Accounting Policies and Chart of Accounts usage

Balance Sheet & Regulatory Reporting

  • Support GPFS quarterly balance sheet reviews, including consolidated product-level views and granular drill-downs for trend and risk assessment
  • Act as the checker for all Unsecured Lending MAS submissions (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual) in collaboration with Regulatory analyst.

Ad-hoc & Management Support

  • Provide ad-hoc product and financial analysis to support the Unsecured Business Head and PFS Finance Leadership.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in financial modelling and business analysis.

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in financial and management reporting tools.
  • Advanced Excel skills (including macros) highly preferred.
  • Strong PowerPoint and data extraction/database skills.

Domain Knowledge

  • Solid understanding of key business drivers and competitive trends in retail banking Unsecured Lending is an advantage.

  • Able to navigate and analyse multiple data sources and formats effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
