Job Description:

The Commodities Team at TD Singapore is seeking a candidate for a unique opportunity in our Sales and Trading team. Reporting to the Head of Sales, this is a role that will primarily be customer facing across the Bank's Corporate and Institutional Client Base.  The principal business is in OTC Precious Metals and Base Metals.  Looking ahead, the business will be evolving into other commodities such as Energy and Carbon, products already being traded at TD North America, and being rolled out across other time zones.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Onboarding of new clients and maintenance of existing client relationships

  • Working effectively with key internal stakeholders of the business including legal, credit and risk teams, and the global commodities team

  • Assist in growing client franchise through consistent pricing and liquidity provision

  • Daily position management, P&l position reconciliation and risk reconciliation

  • Tracking market developments to identify trading opportunities, providing commentary to clients and liaising with other business units

Qualifications & Skills

  • Combined 3+ years of experience in either the sales and/or trading spaces in markets  

  • Proficiency in the full trade cycle beginning to end – communication, pricing, execution and settlement of trades

  • Solid fundamental understanding of the mechanics and drivers of markets- preferably in Asia

  • Strong track record of working across teams and jurisdictions

  • Collaborative attitude and strong interpersonal skills

  • Mandarin language skills beneficial but not required
