Job Description

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will join FS in the Central Treasury Unit Business Finance (CTU BF) space and play a key role in leading and supporting the CTU BF function. Key responsibilities include:

Financial Performance Management and Analysis

  • Lead the production, monitoring, and analysis of the Group CTU Profit & Loss (P&L) reports, ensuring timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis to identify and explain key drivers
  • Partner with stakeholders to assess financial performance trends and support strategic decision-making.

Budgeting, Forecasting and Financial Planning

  • Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes for the CTU Business Finance function.
  • Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast targets, providing comprehensive analysis and explanations of variances.
  • Support management in evaluating opportunities, risks, and emerging trends that may impact financial performance and strategic objectives.
  • Prepare management presentations and financial reports for senior stakeholders and governance committees.

Hedge Accounting Governance and Advisory

  • Lead and coordinate Group-wide hedge accounting initiatives to support effective risk management and financial reporting objectives.
  • Provide technical guidance and advisory support on hedge accounting matters to local Finance and Treasury teams across different jurisdictions.
  • Ensure hedge accounting practices comply with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal governance policies.
  • Partner with treasury, finance, and risk teams to assess and implement hedge accounting solutions for new products, transactions, and strategic initiatives.

Audit, Controls and Governance

  • Act as the primary liaison for Internal Audit and External Auditors on matters relating to CTU Business Finance activities.
  • Coordinate audit requests, facilitate discussions, and ensure timely resolution of audit queries and findings.
  • Strengthen financial controls, governance processes, and documentation standards to support a robust control environment and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to Group accounting policies, financial governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.

Strategic Projects and Continuous Improvement

  • Drive and contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, financial reporting capabilities, and treasury management processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation, workflow optimisation, and data analytics enhancements to improve productivity and reporting quality.
  • Support the delivery of Group-wide transformation initiatives and strategic objectives through effective project participation and stakeholder engagement.
  • Foster collaboration across Finance, Treasury, Technology, and business teams to implement best practices and sustainable process improvements.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong working relationships with CTU, Risk Management, Product Control Group and Ops Risk Management, Group Finance and business unit stakeholders.
  • Serve as a trusted finance partner, providing financial insights, technical expertise, and strategic recommendations to support business and treasury objectives.
  • Facilitate clear communication and alignment between finance, treasury, and business stakeholders on key initiatives and performance outcomes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or an equivalent professional certification.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in the banking or financial services sector, with strong exposure to Treasury, Product and Financial Control and Hedge Accounting.
  • Working knowledge and experience in Cash Flow Hedge Accounting and Fair Value Hedge Accounting
  • Good understanding of bank balance sheets, funding structures, deposit and loan products, and internal pricing mechanisms; familiarity with liquidity risk frameworks is preferred.
  • Strong SAP, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Proactive, meticulous, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline‑driven setting.
  • Resourceful with strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with business, finance, and other stakeholders.
  • Passionate about using data analytics and financial modeling to generate insights that support high‑quality decision‑making.
  • Demonstrated leadership, influencing ability, and strong stakeholder management skills.
