VP/AVP, Senior Network Engineer, Group Infrastructure & Cloud, Group Technology

Design, implement and maintain data center network infrastructure; manage daily network operations, incident escalation and troubleshooting; collaborate with infra and application teams and vendors; proactively identify and remediate network risks; mentor junior engineers and work extended hours during production incidents.

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our Data Centre environment within a highly regulated banking environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data center networking, automation, and security to support mission-critical financial applications.
Job Responsibilities:
- Management of network daily activities; implement change, review change script and support incident and problem troubleshooting .
- Management of network incidents escalations from L1/L2, response to all incident , problem and security incident.
- Responsible to work with the respective infra tower teams and Application team in troubleshooting and identify root cause of all incidents.
- Responsible to work with the respective network vendors? support teams for the troubleshooting, identification and resolution of network problems.
- Handling of the critical network incidents under pressure situations to resolve in timely manner to minimize the business impact.
- Attend to conference calls with other support teams for problem identification and resolutions.
- Must have good communication skills and able to work independently.
- Must adhere to process and policies of the Bank.
- Able to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
- Senior technical role responsible for quick resolution of network related problems. Proactive approach to handling and managing the network problems and ability to drive the problem situation towards resolution, without getting stuck by the dependencies on external factors.
- Able to use technical knowledge to proactively identify the potential network problems and imminent business impact areas and prevent the same. Able to guide junior members in the team for the same.
- Work extended hours (weekday evening, weekends) if needed in case of ongoing production problems.
Job Requirements
- Around 10+ years of network operation experiences. CCIE is preferred.
- Expertise in network protocols, architectures , and technologies ( e.g. TCP/IP, BGP , MPLS, MP-BGP, EVPN)
- In-depth understanding of the networking concepts ? Routing, switching , LAN/WAN, Sapnning Tree protocol, HSRP, ARP,VLAN, Inter-VLAN Routing, OSPF, BGP, VxLAN, Cisco ACI, VxLAN BGP eVPN, SDA, SDWAN etc.
- Hands on experience on routers and switches for advanced troubleshooting of the network related problems and incidents.
- Advanced hands-on experience on troubleshooting complex network problems.
- Logical and analytical thinking and problem analysis skills to troubleshoot complex network problem to isolate the root cause and provide suitable resolution
- Strong problem-solving skills and positive attitude .
- Excellent team player and strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
