VMware Engineer
This role will participate in process discussions to share ideas and provide feedback in continuing the improvement of the Service Build Engineering team in areas such as Optimization, automation, cost savings, technology adoption & operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
- Proficient in deploying, configuring, and managing VMware vSphere environments.
- Proven experience in planning and executing hardware migrations, including assessing current infrastructure, developing migration strategies, and implementing new hardware.
- Expertise in configuring and managing storage systems (SAN, NAS) within a VMware environment, including data migration between storage arrays.
- Co-Ordinate / Support datacenter operations i.e Hardware movements, Cabling requests, storage assignment and so on in accordance with policies.
- Perform regular health check and daily operational support and to update the status to the stake holders.
- Expertise in analyzing ESXi capacity and recommend capacity uplift plan.
- SME to support Build team in any VM setup and in-depth trouble shooting
- SME to support any VMware related incident escalation
- Strong understanding of network configuration and troubleshooting in virtualized environments, including standard / distributed vSwitches, VLANs.
- Ability to monitor, analyze, optimize performance for VMware environments
- Proficiency with vMotion and Storage vMotion for live migration of virtual machines between hosts and datastores without downtime.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements in virtualized environments, ensuring that the new hardware adheres to organizational and regulatory standards.
- Experience in managing HP and DELL server hardware.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5+ years in comparative industry experience
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science or Information Technology
- Working knowledge of ITIL, Data Analytics, Project Management
- Certification is a plus
- Experience in project management, including creating detailed migration plans, coordinating with stakeholders, managing timelines, and documenting the entire migration process.
- Expected to support weekend tasks or activities
