A leading global financial institution is seeking a Vice President Specialised Finance Capital Markets to join their Singapore-based team within the APAC Capital Markets Group. What you'll do:

As Vice President Specialised Finance based in Singapore, you will play a pivotal role in originating and delivering innovative capital markets financing solutions tailored for specialised finance borrowers and sponsors. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve maintaining deep insight into investor requirements while supporting senior team members in identifying new business opportunities. You will produce detailed market research for client presentations and pitches while overseeing critical internal documentation required for deal execution. In addition to managing stretch hold transactions from origination through distribution phases, you will drive key initiatives that expand revenue streams by evaluating bespoke deals and emerging business lines. Collaboration is central to this role; you will partner with regional colleagues across capital markets groups as well as external stakeholders such as banking institutions and financial sponsors. By building strong relationships internally and externally, you will help broaden the organisation’s client franchise while ensuring efficient deal execution. Your ability to manage large workloads under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy will be essential for success.

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of investor and sponsor requirements regarding risk appetite, structure, and pricing to assess underwriting risk and ensure successful syndication of project finance transactions.

  • Develop advanced knowledge of specialised finance fundamentals including deal structure, financial modelling, due diligence processes, and documentation standards.

  • Produce and maintain high-quality market research on pricing trends, participations, deal structures, and investor activity for bespoke client presentations and pitches.

  • Support senior origination team members by identifying new opportunities, conducting financial analysis, providing pricing insights, liquidity assessments, and syndication strategies.

  • Oversee preparation of underwriting applications, deal screening support memos, and other internal documents to facilitate seamless execution of deals.

  • Play a lead role in stretch hold transactions by managing assets through origination phases including pricing determination, investor appetite assessment, distribution activities, client interaction, Q&A sessions, and settlement procedures.

  • Drive various specialised finance initiatives aimed at achieving revenue goals by evaluating unique deal opportunities, exploring new distribution pathways, and developing emerging business lines such as ratings advisory or project bonds.

  • Collaborate with distribution teams regionally and globally to obtain market insights and contribute to the organisation’s origination and distribution strategy.

  • Work in partnership with colleagues across multiple regions within capital markets groups to broaden relationships with core clients by providing high quality support for loans and bonds financing opportunities.

  • Build effective relationships with counterparts in other banking institutions as well as financial sponsors to maximise market profile, origination opportunities, deal efficiency, and collaboration.

What you bring:

To excel as Vice President Specialised Finance in Singapore you will bring extensive experience from banking or finance roles—ideally spanning nearly a decade—with proven exposure to specialised finance transactions. Your academic background should include degree-level education from reputable institutions; additional qualifications such as CFA are highly valued. You will have developed advanced technical knowledge of capital markets products along with practical familiarity engaging institutional investors. Your interpersonal skills are crucial: you must communicate effectively across global teams while nurturing client relationships that enhance business growth. A results-driven mindset paired with accountability ensures you consistently contribute towards revenue targets. Your proactive attitude supports collaborative efforts within the team while your structured approach enables logical decision-making during complex deal structuring. Creative problem-solving abilities allow you to implement efficiencies where possible without compromising accuracy even under tight deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools plus Bloomberg is expected so you can manage data-intensive tasks seamlessly.

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in banking or finance covering Singapore.

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Capital Markets

  • Demonstrate 4 years of advanced knowledge of global capital markets products including loans and bonds as well as familiarity with institutional investors.

  • Hold a degree-level education from leading universities; undergraduate or master’s degrees are preferred while CFA qualifications are considered advantageous.

  • Exhibit excellent communication skills that enable you to build rapport with clients, stakeholders, syndicate teams globally, and internal colleagues.

  • Show results-driven commitment combined with accountability for achieving revenue targets while enhancing the worldwide franchise of the organisation.

  • Display a pro-active approach motivated by a desire to build client relationships within a supportive team environment.

  • Possess strong decision-making abilities supported by sound judgement when assessing underwriting risks or structuring deals.
