Job Responsibilities:

The IAM Operations Manager oversees day-to-day IAM services and ensures secure, compliant, and efficient access management across the enterprise. The role also requires strong ITSM knowledge to manage operational SLAs, SLTs, and ensure IAM services meet agreed business performance standards.

User Access Control Functions 

  • Ensure identity access management is provisioned in accordance with global IAM policy, regulatory guidelines, established standards and procedures.  
  • Support to define the regional identity access management strategy and roadmap to provide end-to-end user life cycle management capabilities and enhance detective control to prevent any unauthorized access.  
  • Continuously review, perform gap analysis and identify opportunities to streamline and automate user access control for the region to ensure that the design controls are effective and efficient. 
  • Support to manage and perform risk assessment for new system on-boarding and system enhancement to ensure relevant security controls (preventive, detective, mitigation) in user access control, audit trail and security log monitoring requirements are incorporated into new/enhance systems prior to system rollout.  
  • Support to manage regional Identity access management project and initiatives to ensure the objectives and capability are delivered within scope, on time and on budget. 
  • Collaborate with Asia Pacific branches to define a regional user access control standards and established roles and responsibilities for administration of user access system/ applications. 
  • Establish and promote adoption of regional toolset, standards, and processes for user access management in APAC region as part of a team. 
  • Provides support for both internal and external audit inspection activities, draft responses as required from the local authorities, second or third line of defences. 
  • Lead as subject matter expert in the technologies for identity and access management and implement enterprise-wide identity services to support regional users. 
  • Lead IAM operations, including user provisioning, de-provisioning, authentication, authorization, and privileged access management.
  • Oversee the performance of IAM services against defined SLAs/SLTs, ensuring timely resolution of incidents, service requests, and change requests.
  • Monitor service queues, prioritize issues based on impact/severity, and drive continuous improvement in response and resolution times.
  • Develop and maintain IAM operational runbooks, playbooks, and escalation procedures aligned with ITIL/ITSM best practices.
  • Provide operational dashboards and reports to stakeholders, highlighting SLA compliance, incident trends, and risk exposures.
  • Collaborate with IT service management teams to ensure IAM processes align with enterprise-wide ITSM practices.
  • Act as escalation point for IAM incidents, ensuring major incident management and post-incident reviews are completed.
  • Partner with security, audit, and compliance teams to ensure IAM operations meet regulatory and governance requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in IAM/security operations, with minimum3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in ITSM/ITIL with experience managing SLAs/SLTs, incident management, problem management, and service delivery.
  • Experience in IAM/PAM tools (e.g., CyberArk, Oracle IAM, Azure AD).
  • Familiarity with service monitoring and reporting tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy).
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Analytical skills to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement. 
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. 
  • Exposure and hands on experience to IAM platforms (Oracle, CyberArk, Entra).
  • Experience working with ticketing/ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.) for IAM request fulfillment.
  • Certifications such as CyberArk Defender, Oracle IGA Specialist, or IT security certifications (CISSP, CISM)
