Role Overview
Mastercard is seeking a Vice President, Field CISO, Financial Services, for Asia Pacific to join a global team of senior security advisors responsible for deep customer engagement, executive influence, and cybersecurity thought leadership.
This role operates as a frontline interface to the world's leading CISOs, shaping strategic partnerships and positioning Mastercard as the trusted authority in cyber resilience, fraud, and digital trust.
This position is focused on supporting Security Solution's Asia Pacific Region and driving cybersecurity thought leadership, client engagement, and business growth across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Role• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior customer executives, including CISOs, CIOs, CROs, and Boards.• Provide strategic guidance on cybersecurity, cyber resilience, fraud, digital trust, risk management, and emerging technologies.• Translate complex security concepts into business outcomes, risk reduction, and competitive advantage.• Lead executive briefings, advisory sessions, and strategic customer engagements.• Strengthen executive relationships and position Mastercard as a strategic cybersecurity partner.• Capture customer insights and market trends to influence product, engineering, and innovation roadmaps.• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to ensure solutions align with evolving enterprise security needs.• Identify emerging market opportunities, customer requirements, and security challenges.• Partner with Sales, Product, and Services teams to support strategic customer opportunities.• Help articulate the business value of Mastercard cybersecurity solutions.• Contribute to revenue growth, customer retention, and executive customer satisfaction.• Represent Mastercard at industry conferences, executive forums, customer events, and CISO communities.• Develop executive-level content, including presentations, white papers, blogs, and market perspectives.• Serve as a spokesperson for Mastercard's cybersecurity vision and strategy.• Advise Mastercard leaders on industry trends, cyber threats, competitive dynamics, and emerging risks.• Drive executive-level alignment across Security, Product, Engineering, Sales, and Services.• Help scale and mature Mastercard's Field CISO capability globally.
All About You• Leadership experience in cybersecurity, information security, technology risk, or related fields.• Experience as a CISO, Deputy CISO, Chief Security Officer, or equivalent senior cybersecurity leader.• Proven ability to advise executive stakeholders on cybersecurity strategy, risk, resilience, and transformation.• Experience working directly with large enterprise customers and executive-level decision makers.• Background in financial services, payments, technology, healthcare, critical infrastructure, or other highly regulated industries preferred.• Strong executive presence with the ability to influence C-suite and Board-level stakeholders.• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.• Proven ability to lead through influence in a global, matrixed organization.• Deep knowledge of cybersecurity strategy, risk management, threat detection and response, cloud security, identity and Zero Trust, privacy, fraud, digital trust, cyber resilience, AI security, and regulatory frameworks.• Strong understanding of the evolving cybersecurity, fraud, and digital trust landscape.• Ability to connect cybersecurity initiatives to business growth, customer value, and risk reduction.• Experience supporting strategic customer relationships and complex enterprise opportunities.• Strong understanding of enterprise buying processes and executive decision-making.• Recognized industry leader with experience speaking at conferences, executive forums, or customer events.• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop compelling executive narratives.
Preferred Qualifications• CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or similar industry certification.• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.• MBA or advanced business degree preferred.• Established network within the cybersecurity and CISO community.• Experience participating in Board-level cybersecurity discussions.• Ability to travel up to 50%.
