Strategic           

  • Conceptualize and execute EFX client business plan for Asia ex Japan, with alignment to global EFX client plan and buy in from regional and global stakeholders

  • Understand competitive landscape and evaluate/prioritize development items to provide MUFG EFX business with a competitive edge

  • Assess business requirement vis-à-vis growth objectives and market opportunities and associated risks

  • Partner with regional sales and trading to expand client footprint of EFX business

  • Participate in EFX sales campaigns and focus on automating sales triggers

  • Implement a data driven approach in managing the Asia ex Japan EFX sales business

Financial

  • Responsible for EFX client business in Asia ex Japan, including eFX Sales target, financial management and performance and monitoring of potential risk. Provide timely updates to global and regional managers on the financial progress of the EFX business in Asia ex Japan.

Customer

  • Manage customer relationships from an EFX perspective in Asia ex Japan

  • Ensure there a proper client coverage from both EFX sales and client services

  • Partner with regional voice sales to establish a dual coverage model (i.e. each client to have a voice and e-sales person)

  • Prospect potential clients and grow the overall EFX client business in Asia ex Japan

  • Seek out client feedback on product and services and channel that feedback internal to management team

People

  • Responsible for managing (objective setting & performance management), developing (coaching, career progression & training) and rewarding (financial and non-financial reward decisions) for Direct Reports

  • Supervise, motivate and develop staff members of eFX Sales and eFX Client Support.

  • Act as a role model to team members and adhere to all company policies / guidelines

  • Handle appropriately any grievance or disciplinary issues, liaising with the Human Resource Department, where appropriate

Other/ Control

  • Support team by leading the meeting or presentation with senior level client, when required.

  • Contribute to processes, policies and guidelines to deliver continuous improvement and ensure compliance with relevant regulations

  • Maintain good working knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations.

  • Adhere to all regulatory, compliance and bank rules, guidelines policies and procedures and ensure all staff in department exercise high level of proficiency with good understanding.

  • Identify and resolve where there may be a difference or conflict in needs between any MUFG offices and escalate to reporting manager where required.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree qualified

  • At least 5 years of experience in EFX

  • At least 5 years of client facing experience in Asia

  • Good knowledge of FX markets

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Comfortable to work with a large amount of data and to perform analytics

  • Excellent Microsoft office skills

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Managerial and leadership qualities

  • Proactive and self starter

  • Able to adopt a data driven approach to manage a business
